New to the game and am really impressed, the figures look great and have a lot of detail. Can't wait to start building them my wife said we can play a game this weekend if we get them built. I'll post some pictures when I am all done but all of you have been helpful with your threads from how to make cheap terrain to how to make an army list.

I'm currently putting together the Open Fire set as well. When you get to the Shermans don't pull your hair out trying to get the right side tracks to fit properly. There is a thread on the BF website that I updated with my two cents. Basically Battlefront recommends that you do some filing which they have pics of what to file on their website. However this probably won't totally fix the problem. You will end up having to remove a small portion of plastic from the right rear "T" section of the main body and it will then all fit fairly flush together. You'll still have to use some 5 finger clamp pressure and I suggest super glue for this portion to get everything into place quickly. I can post some pics later in the week if you need me to clarify. This is definitely a great set and I finally got to play my first game recently at my FLGS.

If you add 1 box of PSC PzIVs and 2 Fireflys both sides are 1220pts.

I noticed the gap on the Sherman Vs as well after glue was applied, after the first 2 or so I said screw it and I can see if I can cover it with stowage. A shame the fireflys went together awesome. They do note it as a problem and have a fix on their website: http://www.flamesofwar.com/hobby.aspx?art_id=3557
A question I have is where to put the .50 Cal MG on the turrent, they show in the instructions: http://www.flamesofwar.com/Portals/0/Documents/OpenFire/Open-Fire-Assembly-Guides.pdf
That it goes on the little hole on that hatch, but I had to do some significant shaving of the peg on the MG to get it in the hole, it is a perfect fit for the hole at the back of the turrent a la this Band of Brothers Scene:
But then I also see in the Assembly Guide (first link I posted) that they don't even include the MG on the turret and I see even on the box on most of the Vs it is not included, Is it just optional? Does it count as being there even if the model doesn't, does WYSIWYG not apply? When not manned does it sit inside the turret and quickly pop out for use?

Anyone have an answer for my MG dilemma? I looked up on plastic soldier company and they have the MG at the rear of the turret :

I emailed Flames of War/Battlefront and they said the MG is suppose to be at the front of the turret but the crew would swap it around when needed.

Got the box built just finishing off adding some stowage to the tanks tonight. 2 of the models had gun barrels that were bent/broken kind of a shame wish they had added a few extra models just in case that happened. Now I am starting on building some terrain and dug in terrain to surround the front of some bases. Unfortunately they only other issue is all the tokens were printed on a piece of cardboard and cut and in some cases as much as 30% of the print missed the actual token cut out, but I could always make my own it is more then was expected to get them anyhow.

Hargus,
The image files for all of the cardboard are on the Flames of War website. If you happen to have some cardstock lying around, you could print yourself plenty of terrain and tokens to replace the miscuts. Or, complain to Battlefront and who knows what response you may get!
