Does anyone know if the forgeworld punisher cannons (http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Warhammer-40000/Imperial_Navy/AIRCRAFT_PUNISHER_CANNONS.html) are actually compatible with the current valkyrie model from GW. The Vulture Gunship looks awesome, but i would rather not spend upwards of $100. I would rather buy the punisher cannons on it for $17 bucks and go to town on my vendetta. Problem is, I'm not sure whether they are compatible. It looks so, but i wouldn't want to invest that money until I know that it will be worth it.

They are.

The Vulture uses the Valkyrie plastic kit as the basis, and the wings are unchanged except for the addition of weapons pylons.

Compatible...everything is compatible - just a question of how much work you want to put into it.

In the case of that particular item, the hard point mounting rails are included. Glue those to the bottom of whatever you want. Mount the other items to it.

If you take a walk through my air cav blog you can see a pair of vultures I converted from plastic valk kits & some cheap plumbing supplies. Just in case you actually wanted to go the route of WYSIWYG, since the vulture has no transport capacity at all & has a chin HB.

I converted this vulture from a Valkyrie kit. Was very easy and only took minimal plasticard work for the nose and body.
Just slapping punisher cannons onto a regular valkyrie seems a bit lazy. Theyre different aircraft.

Hmmmmm, can a Vulture be used with 6th edition? If so, where can I find the rules?

They'd be in the FW Aeronautica book, also part of the books with elysians, and badab war part 1, maybe other places.

Rules, short version:
valk stats, no transport
weapons: HB, LT ML, 2x hellstrike
upgrades:
ML-->missiles, AC, Lascannon (all TL) or 2x multiple rocket pod
HS missles-->HF missles, 6 bombs/hk missles, milti rocket pods, TL punisher cannon
some FW flyer-specific wargear
