This might not make a whole lot of sense here (except the character i made of melissia) but i used to go to the IGMB and i made a bunch of characters of said people and how i imagined them. This is on classic ironman mind you so once a character is dead i can't reload and i chose the south america starting location (pretty much the hardest starting location as it hasn't helped me almost at all). Surprisingly most of the members of the IGMB have lived so far (except walrus).
Melissia's original look has white armor and sorta like power armor (like a sister of battle) and brown hair like her avatars and a generally pissed off look in her face with a fairly masculine voice. I gave her the nickname 'tsundere' when she reached sergeant because she wrote a whole blog about how much that archetype pisses her off and how dumb she thinks it is. The first reason i did it is because she is one and that's funny and the second is because it makes her angry which is also funny to tease her. I gave her the last name blackheart because that was her last name on her photobucket account when she posted some pics from it or something. She's in the heavy class. She currently has the most kills and is a colonel. In fact she hasn't even been incapacitated once. I'll be scared if she ends up becoming my psychic and saving the world.

The next one up is paimon who i gave the last name daemonhost from some roleplaying game we had with a group at the IGMB. She is canadian and i joke that it's a stereotype a canadian became a sniper. She's probably french canadian since the sniper rifle is the most cowardly weapon to use
. Ok i kid. So far she's a really good sniper. A really, REALLY good sniper. So much so that it surprised me. I gave her the nickname 'payback' because i couldn't think of anything else and it has to do with the 'pai' part in 'paimon' sorta. Currently she's alive and a colonel. She's probably my favorite character actually or a toss up between her and melissia. I love putting her on high terrain and sniping since the aim boosts stack a ton with 'squad sight' (self explanatory ability).

This is walrus who we joked about having a purple sweater of certain 'dirty purposes'
when he was initiated into the IGMB as one of us. He's an australian. He was one of my earlier soldiers though hadn't been around as long as melissia. He's already dead in the game but he made the 2nd highest rank (major). I was almost out of moves when i saw a cyberdisc nearby. I threw dense smoke (+40 defense) from the female support onto him and he had skeleton armor (another +10 defense so at least 50 defense total) but the cyberdisc moved right next to him and shot him to death apparently not even allowing him to go unconscious to revive him. I lost my assault without getting a chance at a revive either and he was a colonel when he died unlike walrus who was a major. Anyway this is walrus's profile. His nickname might be inappropriate for the forum but i'm unsure. I'll provide a link of the after mission results when he died if i have it but the name is slightly, slightly NSFW probably. It has to do with the sweater though from his initiation. His name here is Walrus of Love.

This is requiem or elegaic requiem. This is almost exactly how i imagine he looks after seeing his picture (not easy to do in xcom considering all the shaved heads and crew cuts). He is a heavy surprisingly (i thought he'd be a sniper or medic). He's panicked a couple times but somehow has now made it all the way to major rank. I like to pick on him when his character fails. He's not that bad of a character anymore though. I always imagine him being french and therefore picked on him panicking sometimes because of it (ok that's lame i know). I think i will nickname him 'batman' or 'I'M BATMAN!' because he speaks several languages, fences (yes the sword kind of fencing) and he jokes about taking women into his basement (Yes it is creepy but is more normal if you were a member of the site though it was more for jokes. I swear. Ok it still is kind of creepy.)

Here is Fire For Effect. I earned her from a successful council mission and she was a support so it made sense to me. Her avatar was of a blonde haired anime girl though her picture shows that she has black hair. She's made colonel and is a pretty good healer now with the +4 healing boost you can choose with the support class. I gave her the nickname 'tease' because she said she was told she is one.

Finally we have davey boy or dave in the forum. I named him Davey Boy and gave him the nickname 'Cap'n Dave'. He made the heavy class too which gave me a whole lot of heavies earlier on when walrus was still alive. He has a sort of a small mohawk like that and his hair style is pretty much dead on. I gave him that hair color because i imagine his hair would be dyed blonde. He is currently a major with requiem and i definitely prefer him and show favoritism over requiem with him. Like i said i care much less about requiem
. In the forum dave is from the
UK and is sort of a rebel. His xcom look looks a bit smug for some reason but there were only a couple faces which i could imagine him with.

So as i said currently only walrus has died and he made major. Dave and requiem are majors (heavy classes for both) and melissia (heavy), FFE (support) and paimon (sniper) are all colonels with some random support class guy also being a major. Recently i took down the alien base (it took germany down from full panic to 3 panic which was needed), i'm waiting for the last 5 satellites to be ready to deploy so i can cover the whole remaining rest of the world in satellites. I have lost australia (Walrus lived after it left the council but he eventually died. Maybe he lost hope
.), china and south africa as members of the council. I lost the last two because i threw up a bunch of satellites and had an unfortunate abduction mission 2-3 days before the end of the month after i already threw up my satellites so it forced me to lose 2 countries that were only at full panic for 2 days or so. Like i said the alien base mission was kind of needed and helped lower my overall panic and save germany from leaving the council. I lost an assault squaddie which didn't do much during that mission and everybody was heavily injured except melissia who made it out just fine (med-bay is for wusses and she's made out of a concrete wall apparently). Paimon and i think davey boy both went into critical condition during the game (thank god for the officer academy ability i bought that you get at colonel rank (it allows higher ranks to have a higher chance at going into critical state from critical wounds). I saved both but i think you get penalties for lifetime injures and i had to do the alien base assault mission with out them if i wanted to keep germany so i did. Partly because i didn't want to lose a nation but also because that'd be one more full continent bonus i could not get (i can't get the asia or africa bonuses anymore sadly).
So there you have my game so far. I'm starting to get plasma weaponry and titan armor and the firestorm should all be coming soon. I think i'll get the firestorm fairly soon because i get scared thinking a battleship could pop up. Should a battleship pop up i can get the super rocket launcher and melissia can blow stuff up even more efficiently. As if melissia wasn't scary enough. If melissia becomes a psychic and ends up saving the world this game i will laugh until i can't breathe though.
