Last week myself and a few friends decided to get a 'big game' going this week. The theme was "Orks vs Imperium", as I had finally decided to dust off my old Ork Waagh from the closet. There's Pick (IG/SW player) versus myself and Nate (with a possible second Nate, but that's another story). Unfortunately at the time of this writing I don't have the army lists of the others, but I made sure to take a good photo of the battlefield post deployment. Due to circumstances beyond my control, we lost Nate from the original ork trifecta, but Nate still showed up. Nate and I simply added a thousand points onto our list, and will have to get another Imperial player if Nate sobers up.

To assist in this, we added two Stompas (the only Apocalypse units on the board), and had 400 points left over to spend on. My half of the WAAAGH consists of the following:



-1 Stompa (not pictured, in reserves)

-Big Mek w/ SAG
-Doc Grotsnik
-Warboss w/ 'eavy Armor, cybork, attack squig, and PK

-15 Lootas (x2)
-15 Kommandos w/ 2 burnas and Snikrot

-30 Boyz w/3 big shootas, lead by a Nob with a PK (x2)
-19 gretchen and a runtherder
-5 MANz w/ cybork upgrades in a trukk
-3 Deffkoptas with one buzzsaw (x2) (cyborked)
-3 Warbikes with a nob, PK (cyborked)


Coming from memory, the Imperium has approximately 8 (?!) named heroes, with 3 squadrons of dakka Russes, with heavy bolter teams and mortar squads. Around 7 (might be over-exaggerating) twin-linked autocannon dreadnaughts are in a gunline in back, with two manticores in cover and around 10 IG squads in reserve. Several thunderwolves protect his right (our left) flank, and we've failed to seize initiative. Tomorrow we play, but for now we can vote! What do you think? Who will reign supreme?

The game is over! It took around 10 hours (no lie), and the results are in. A full report will be done later tomorrow, with pictures to spare.

Can't wait to see the battle, sounds like fun. Wait a second... I see both of you are from Jacksonville North Carolina, did you both participate in the game or is it coincidence.

Imperium will be victorious I think unless the gatling is very efficient.
