OK dakka you make the call here, im rounding off my 2k army and this is my final thing i need to pick, either

A) Krak storm missile's ragne 18-96" for a FoR

or

B) turn a pred into an anielator pattern pred.

would it help if i posted my list for you all?

1) Wrong forum, YMDC is for rules questions that are not clear. This belongs in Tactics.

2) What Codex are you using?

3) It really depends on what your list looks like and what role you need filled. (Plus what is an anielator pattern pred?)

ah fair enough, Im using Codex marines, i have 3 preds and a LR. the preds are all armed with the auto cannon and side laz cannons, so which ever is better for anti armor i guess.

What is a krak storm?

I believe Krakstorms are an option for the Fortress of Redemption?

But how are you getting that on a predator?

I think you should reorganise your thoughts and post your original question again. Maybe with a summation of your list so people can help analyse what your list lacks and therefore which would be better.

THere we go restructured the question. The krakstorm is for the FoR and the TL laz is for the pred. with my list i have 45 points left so either krak or laz

If you are already buying a Fortress of Redemption, might as well go with all the trimmings.

That, and an Ordnance, Barrage and Large Blast Krak Missile is nothing to sneeze at.

Definitely take the krakstorm missile upgrade. The twin-linked lascannon upgrade is comically overpriced in Codex: Space Marines, and until a new book comes out that isn't likely to change. Look at the new Chaos book for a hint as to the direction that that will be taking.

I'm still confused how to fire the krackstorm as it's pointed up. Can I ever shoot it direct fire? Where would I have to put the model to get LOS with the thing?

krackstorm is barrage cant LOS it except if you are in a building with a roof

You can't point a nuke silo at anything that isn't above it, so barrage it will have to be.

I'd take the Krakkstorm, which frees up a heavy support FOC slot.

Go with the krackstorm. People are fielding a lot more infantry lately, and from what I've seen of your list, you have plenty of anti-tank weapons.
