Subject: Need some advice on my Tyranids

So I think I settled on a paint scheme for my Tyranids. I'm very new to painting and I was also looking for a very fast paintjob, so I decided to go with using a wash for a base color. The models below are only half done. I just have a few questions about where to go now... Termagant A Termagant B Next to each other Termagant A is washed with Seraphim Sepia. Termagant B is washed with Agrax Earthshade. I think I prefer the actual golden color from Seraphim Sepia, but I also think the Earthshade contrasts with the yellow better. With the Seraphim Sepia, the model hardly looks painted from 10 feet away. I'm just looking for opinions on this one. My main question...whichever base color I go with, is there any way to make the yellow carapace "pop out" more? I just threw a thin line of Reikland Fleshshade into the crevices, but I'm not sure I like it. Any suggestions? Lastly, I was thinking of using a dark green color for the gun. It completely goes against the color scheme, but I'm thinking that might be a good thing. Thoughts? Thanks in advance!

I don't know if it's just me, but those pictures are SUPER blurry and there's no real way to tell the difference between the two. Is there a chance that we can get a more focused shot?

The darker one is definitely better. The contrast helps a ton.
I wouldn't go with a green gun, the only out of scheme color that I would go for is purple.

There has been talk of this on the Showcase forums, but it should repeated here:
It is next to impossible to give anyone honest advice on paint jobs when the pictures provided are so blurry that you can't tell what is going on.
I (along with many others, probably) would love to help you, but all I see is a big yellowish blur in the rough shape of a tryanid... Get some better pictures!

Holy crap those were bad images!
Sorry about that, everyone! I didn't quite realize how awful they were. I've uploaded some new pictures. They're still not the best, but I think you can actually see these.

I like the second one. The sepia and yellow together make it seem a little one-dimensional in the pictures while the one with Agrax Earthshade shows a good contrast between the skin and the carapace. Just my opinion though.

Agreed. Term B is much better. As for the armor plates, I would recommend feathering them from yellow to white.
Gun-wise, I think purple would look nice. Or black.

The second one is a lot better, and I agree with some of the others that the green gun wouldn't look all that good. I would go with a red or purple.
