According to the FAQ:
Note that some of the profiles in The Hobbit:An Unexpected Journey rules manual will vary from those in the five source books: Mordor, The Fallen Realms, Moria & Angmar, Kingdoms of Men and The Free Peoples. When picking a force, you should use the rules and points values featured in The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey rules manual in place of those found in the source books.
Anyone know if the profile/point changes are significant? I'm using the pocket rulebook from the starter set, which doesn't have the profiles in it. Now I'm wondering if I will need to get the big hardback (which costs as much as I've spent on my whole army so far ) after all. My FLGS didn't get one in yet, so I can't even peek to see what the changes are.

I agree, very... annoying (the pocket rule books for the other two systems at least have the profiles in them). I'm still curious to see whether anything changed substantially.

Similar to the topic:
Anybody noticed that GW has separated The Hobbit and LotR for FAQs and model ranges?
Does this mean that LotR events (though I've never seen a tournament for LotR, they probably exist!) will use the rules from the blue book and sourcebooks?

Was there a FAQ for the blue book before? 'Cause I don't see one now. I actually thought the Hobbit FAQ had replaced all the others until you posted Dr. (didn't click through to the next page).
I suppose it would be up to the TO for events, I keep hearing that there are no "official" GW tournaments anymore. The only thing about sticking to the blue book is you lose the new Heroic Actions and Monster rules which seem kinda cool. Automatically Appended Next Post: Actually, it looks like all of the LotR FAQs are now v1.0 and have the Hobbit letterhead now. Automatically Appended Next Post: Except for the supplement FAQs.

I don't believe any of the profiles have changed, even radagast looks the same Automatically Appended Next Post: Oh but if you were not aware all monsters and heroes get new rules.
