I am going to go up against my buddy's grey knights for the first time with my CSM and was considering taking daemon allies. While this sounds crazy hear me out. I would take a Bloodthirster with blessing of the blood god and +1 str, ~8 bloodletters, and 10-15 flesh hounds. The basic idea is the the flesh hounds and bloodthirster will have a 2++ invul save vs force weapons so I can tarpit/kill his pallistar with Draigo. The CSM part would be something like this:
Khorne lord on juggernaut with axe and sigil
2x 5 CSM with plasma in rhinos
~20 cultists
3xoblits
Predator w autocannon and LC
Heldrake
Maybe Berzerkers or 1k sons.

So what do you think? Am I a mad genius or just plain mad?

In your squads, doing the chainsword tango

OOC, can you choose NOT to use the force weapons/special CCW? Cause 2++ fleshhounds would be frustrating, but punching them with your fists is 5++!

I think that if GK had pistols, they could chose to use them as their main CCW.

However,

GK do not have pistols, so they only have one CCW (their Nemesis weapon). I believe that they are forced to use their nemesis weapons.

Excommunication is hardly ever taken in a TAC list. so this is a decent strategy.

The only time you would see this spell is if the enemy is "Tailoring" their list, or they are running Coteaz and they do not swap for divination powers on him.

Against GK I would use Screamers and Flamers. Both destroy MEQ and GK are just 25 point MEQ's. Crushers are also very good if they do not haver terminators - throw a collar on them.

Flesh Hounds are underwhelming and the Thirster will be destroyed with shooting.

Unfortunately I don't have any of the good Tzeentch daemons, just what is listed plus another daemon prince. I am not too worried about the rest of his army as I feel my CSM can handle MEQ without much trouble, it is the 10 man paladin squad with Draigo that I am mainly worried about. And any hints on taking down dread knights would be appreciated as well.

Unless the rest of your list is really fast most of the daemons will be shot down before they can use that 2++ save.

Bloodthirster might not be a bad bet vs paladins or dread knights though.

Bringing Dreadknights isn't list tailoring, they are in a lot of TAC lists and they have Dark Excumminication. The Coteaz thing is an unfortunate side effect, because he is allowed to see your list when your ready to deploy than choice not to swap his powers before deployment.

OP - There are a lot of ways GKs just troll daemons even if they guy does it by accident. The powers are just built into units that are going to be taken on a regular basis anyway. Flamers and screamers are they way to pwn them though. I suggest donating bodily fluids, selling contraband, or resorting to the worlds oldest proffession and get yourself some loot to buy GW addiction goods.

I need to return some video tapes.

Daemons do not have a good way to deal with Dreadknights. I would recommend some Chosen wiht Plasma Guns as the ideal method - 10 Plasma shots (combi plas) nets 7 hits - 6 wounds and after the 5++ a dead Dreadknight.
