I need a way to make banners that drape over things, like the side of armor or walls. I had a friend who had done it before with tissue paper or something and white glue, but i forgot the process.
Anyone care to elaborate on this method, or share a different one?
Help much appreciated.

Facial tissue + watered down pva/white glue - cut tissue to size, or roll into bundles (if rolling into bundles, tie to shape using thread) dip into glue solution allow the solution to soak into the tissue, then drape over the piece where you want it to be, allow to dry and paint.

Kitchen foils a good one, with pva & varnish to harden it.

I use the tissue/glue route described by steelcult. This also works with medical gauze to make camo netting.

Paper Mache works as well; flour + water, if you don't want to go the watered down PVA route.

You can also the boil the water and add less flour to make it very sturdy.

As Alleton said, medical gauze also works very well (and is very cheap, a few dollars for hundreds of strips even in Australia).

Baby wipes soaked in watered down PVA is an excellent way to do it, too.

I am currently taking commissions.
