Not exactly sure if this belongs here but i'm at a query and didn't exactly know where to turn.

but i can't seem to find or get a contact back from any sculpting work.

I've tried all those in the swap lists and even then its a narrowed list.

i even tried BTP but i don't have 250$ nor enough work to pump out for a MINIMUM order.

so if anybody has any references (outside or in dakka community) or would like some sculpture work please shoot away.

Mods: feel free to move, edit or post at your judgement.

Frothers, TMP, Mini Sculpture and Table Warfare are a couple of the places that I have tracked down contract sculptors in the past.

From the sounds of it though - you will probably need to look for someone who is trying to build a portfolio of work though. Most the professional sculptors who I have dealt with generally start at about $10 per mm (roughly). So a single GW sized figure will run you $300. Larger and more complicated sculptures can get much more expensive...and of course if the sculptor has some level of name recognition, you may end up spending 2, 3 or 4 times as much.

@sean Thank you for the references and suggestions and the realism of pricing

@epil im just trying to get some dark vengeance marines switched up to blood angels. Just remove the dark angel icons and maybe just sculpt some ropes and blood drops on them not anything to to big. I presented this idea to myself with a budget of 50$ maximum; i mean it would just the tac squad and maybe the libby for starts. so we'll see what happens

You could do that with simple conversion work rather than sculpting. For $50 you could buy a BA death company or sanguinary guard box and use spare bits from those to pimp up the tac squad with BA iconography and such. Plus you'd get an additional 5 guys, with jump packs, extra weapons, etc. If you're set on spending less money you could simply pick up BA bits off a bits site.

I'd say you'd be better off asking locally for something that small, if you really can't do it yourself.
