Contagious Dreadnought of Nurgle

Greetings Dakkanauts,

So I'm bored at work and I'm wracking my brain trying to think of ways my very fledgling Ork army could ally with Nurgle. When I started 40k waaaay back in 2nd Ed, you could take allies up to 25% of your armies total points value, and that was brilliant. But it's only now, in 6th Ed that I've seriously considered doing this again. Being at work and not having the BRB with me, I have a few questions about allies.

1: Can I match the total points of my allied faction with my Orks, for example 750pts with another 750pts of Nurgle Marines?

2: I know I need to take an HQ and a Troops choice as basic allies, but after that do I have free run of the C:SM book?

3: Would I be able to take Daemons as well, is there a limit to the number of different factions that I can ally with?

That just about covers it for now, thanks in advance for any advice guys 'n girls!

EDIT: And if anyone can come up with a half convincing bak story as to why my Orks would ally with Nurgle, I would be very happy!

Most of these questions are answered in more detail in the BRB but since they're suitable vague as to not be giving away too much I'll take a crack at them.

1) To my knowledge you only limit is by FOC choices and not points, so it would be possible to match your primary detachments points

2) You have to take 1 HQ and 1 TROOP from an allied detachment, you may choose to take a further 1 ELITE, 1 FAST ATTACK, 1 HEAVY SUPPORT AND 1 ADDITIONAL TROOP.

3) You can only take 1 ally per detachment (so 1 for upto 1999, another 1 if you take a second detachment with double FOC)

As for a convincing back story the details are always best to come from the player, but all I got was this orky kinda message reading this "We'ze woz Ded Ard, Now we've Ard an' Ded!" Zombie Ork.

York/London(for weekends) oh for the glory of the british rail industry

1. Points don't come into it, just units
2. Allies have a unit cap on all areas of the force organisation chart
3. You can only have one ally

The only real backstory other than freebooters (ork mercanary forces) would involve the deamon list, not the chaos mortal list. The old Deamonhunter codex gave an example of an ork force finding a nurgle temple but mistaking it for a temple to gork/mork, this lead to nurgle orks (orks are generally heavily protected from chaos taint so this is very rare).

Instead of using nurgle models you could use counts as
1. Nurgle orks - plaguebearers
2. Nurgle snotlings - nurglings
3. Convert a weirdboy/meganob into a deamon prince

Relictors: 1500pts

its safe to say that relictors are the greatest army a man , nay human can own.

I think can take demons because IIRC they count as heavy support/ or something in the CSM rulebook as Lesser Demons/Greater Demons.

I think a Khorne Chaos Ally would be fun to play with the Orks, with Berserkers and maybe a Bloodthirster.

That was the old codex, the new one has no daemons, you'll have to use allies.

I thought they could take some sort of daemon prince thing as an HQ?

Anyways, nurgle orks is confirmed, it just relies on orks being tricked/enslaved for it to happen. Orks never turn to chaos willingly to my knowledge.

Just say they were tricked and now there is no turning back for them.
