Howdy, I got a list that I came up with for playing competitively. I wanted other people's opinions, and anybody to point out any gaping flaws that my army may have. Well here it is:

HQ
Cybork Biker Boss with a PK, BP, Attack Grot (Couldn't find a Squig!), 155
Big Mek with KFF 85

Elites
10 Lootas 150

Troops
5 Cybork Bikers with 2 Big Choppas and PK, Painboy 320
20 Slugga Boyz with a PK/BP Nob 160
20 Slugga Boyz with a PK/BP Nob 160
20 Shoota Boyz with a PK/BP Nob, 2BS 170
20 Shoota Boyz with a PK/BP Nob, 2BS 170

Heavy Support
Red Battlewagon with 2BS, Rolla 125
Red Battlewagon with 2BS, Rolla 125

Fast Attack
Red Dakkajet with Ace and +1 Shoota 135

TOTAL: 1750

The game plan is to stick the Slugga Boyz in the wagons, and rush them up the board to the enemy alongside the Bikers. Hopefully the Dakkajet will hit at around the same time as all the fast units. Meanwhile, the Shootas will capture objectives and mow down anybody close enough. The Lootas will be there for popping transports and anti-air.

Now for a few questions:
-Where should I stick My KFF mek? Should he run with my wagons, or stay behind with my Shootas?
-How does my Biker unit look? Anything I should add or take away?
-Do I have a good amount of boyz for this point level? And if not, what should I drop to make room?
-Any glaring weaknesses that will give me a lot of trouble?

Thanks, and I really appreciate any advice!

-I would stick your KFF Mek in a Battlewagon to give them a cover save. Which will mean dropping one of the boyz from one of the Slugga Boyz. I'd be tempted to change them to more Shoota Boyz though.

-Your Biker unit is fine.

-I think that for a Speedy army it's fine.

-I'd be tempted to split down the Loota unit into 2 squads. So that you can shoot at 2 different targets, plus you can split the units into different areas of the board to increase threat range and make it more difficult for your opponent to destroy your fire base.

I do really like that 2 squad Loota idea, and the Mek does seem better in the wagon now that I look at it. Thanks for the input!
My only question is, are Shootas way better better than Sluggas this time around, or just by a bit?
The reason why I'm asking is that I'm using 40 AoBR Slugga boys, and wanted to know if buying and converting all those Shoota arms would be worth it.

I feel like in a 1750 point list, just two wagons aren't enough. You don't really have the saturation of armor to keep them alive. Normally at this level you'd have three wagons, maybe four, and then the addition of jets. Perhaps you should load the 40 slogging boyz into trukks, to lend in more armor and make it so your army isn't arriving in waves. Also gives you a better slot for those blackreach boyz, because trukk boyz almost have to be slugga, and shootas work pretty well in a wagon.

Good point. Could definitely see how attacking in waves wouldn't be effective, especially since I have a ton of gunline army players in my area.

The only thing is that I can't really think of anything to sacrifice in favor of two more wagons or three trukks. I guess I could give up a unit of 20 Slugga boyz for another wagon, but then I think I'd be a bit short on troops...

I'd only change around a few things.

I'd drop one of the slugga squads.
Take a 3rd BW.
fill in remaining points with a squad of Grots
Now everything's moving at the "same" speed

not sure if I like the jet yet, It's almost the same price as 10x Lootas.

I agree with jdjamesdean about dropping a slugga unit and taking another wagon. But filling the rest out with grots wont help much unless you're meat shielding the lootas with them.

So with the points difference I'd drop the big choppas on the bikers and swap in 2 more PK's. Gives them more punch and with big choppas lacking an AP, i dont find them too terrific.

If your attack is going too well, you have walked into an ambush

The easy way is always mined

Good idea . Also dakkajet IS a good idea, as it is bs3 and twin linked making it awesome. And i can not tell you how many games I have won thanks to the jet. All in all you are running a fairly good list but yes you do need the kff in a Battlewagon otherwise he will die instantly and keep you lootas in one squad as in separate squads they both die so easily it is not funny and you need all ten shooting at one target to be sure to kill it. That is my advice though do not feel as though you have to take anyone's advice as you may not like it or it does not work for you.

Ok, so I did a little playing around in Vassal with the list and it seems like 1 squad of Lootas is the way to go, rather than 2. Like Armageddon Reborn said, they got picked off too fast and they can actually kill stuff quickly when put in one group.

I don't really see why adding any more Klaws to my bikers would be effective. It seems like they get a bit expensive and possibly a bit overkill.

I like the idea of getting another wagon. If I shuffle around my list by dropping a squad of Sluggas and adding an identical wagon, I have 35 extra points. I was thinking of getting 2 more Lootas and adding 'Eavy Armor to my Mek (A bit pointless, but hey, it might help).

Thanks for all your input everyone! It helps a ton by having second opinions about my list, rather than getting beaten over and over before I figure it out.

The main point of having a unit of grotz is so you have a troop choice to leave behind to guard backfield objectives without having to leave behind a mob of boyz or trying to rush back and get it later in the game.
