Hi everyone and welcome to my progress blog for my heresy armour themed carcharadons (space sharks) . I chose these becouse not alot of people use them and wanted somthing abit out of the ordinary.This will be a slow progress thread as i want to take my time and push myself to do the best possible job i can. As its a heresy style army i will be using all the lovely fits from Forge world. So far i have got myself a squad of 5 Tataros pattern terminators and have got on order the apothicary set and some mk4 armour marines to get me started.
So i started work on the terminators last night and got all the bits cut off the sprue, cleaned and sanded the flash off and put it in some warm soapy warter to clean any mould release off, but while they were in soak i thought id sort out the shoulder pads with chapter icon. As gw dont do the icons for the space sharks and my free hand skills are not great i thought id have a go at sculpting. I went on you tube and found an awesome vid by 'the dizmo' on how to sculpt them and armed with that and my hobby knife i gave it a go....


Think they turned out ok for a first attempt at sculpting
Hope to crack on with starting to build them up today so will update as i go

Look forward to seeing them. Trying to build an army to do double duty between Badab War and Horus Heresy? I get the desire. I am building a Tyrant's Legion/Astral Claws army but have an Ultramarines army I am debating turning into a Horus Heresy force. Nice green stuff work btw.

Small update from today. Started building up the sargeant and his base

For a first go a sculpting that's pretty damn good mate. The sharks are all sharp, and pretty consistent.

UPDATE 01

So i have decided not to bother making my own bases for the army and buy some nice resin ones. I have got some from scibor models these..
40mm for the terminators..


25mm for troops..

Thinking the red will go well against the grey armour of the models well. Managed to get this guy put together and painted as a quick test model for the colour of the army. The real models will have more weathering done to them..

What you guys think?
Also on a side note im in the middle of painting up some chaos cultist for a friend for christmas and got these done so far..

So my bases turned up and ive got my terminator sergeant painted up.


also managed to get the flamer guy built up ready for paint
