Havent got the codex in front of me so the points might be slightly off, ill tweek it when im home.Im thinking about picking up the second DK after work. List is really for the theme and fun but so far iv found the 1750 version (only 1 DK) quite competitive.
C&C welcome along with any suggested changes.

Draigo

10x Paladins - (Psybolt Ammo, 4x Psycannons, 4x Swords, 4x Halberd, 2x Hammers) [Usualy combat squad to psycannons in 1 squad with a hammer]
5x Paladins - (2x Psycannons, 1x Halberd, 1x Sword, 1x Hammer, 1x Warding Stave, 1x Falchions) [Usually deep strikes with Draigo]

Storm Raven - (TL Assault Cannon, Hurricane Bolters, Multi- Melta, Psybolt Ammo) [Used as a gunship]

Dread Knight - (Personal Teleporter, Heavy Incinerator) [Use Grand Strategy to make scoring]
Dread Knight - (Personal Teleporter, Heavy Incinerator) [Use Grand Strategy to make scoring]

Got 2/3 chance to get enough on Grand Strategy to make both DK scoring so with any luck should have 5 scoring units. I know i would get screwed in 4+ objective matches but i like the 2+ theme and i think it could work in a lot of missions. Would like to fit Great Swords to both DK if the points are available. What do you think Dakka?

I was thinking of a Xenos inq with terminator armor and a plasma syphon? to protect the paladins from pesky plasma. Not sure where to find the points tho. Maybe just put the inq in power armor or flack. Only 35 points for inq with Plasma syphon in flak

The problem I see is you have so many points in one solid death star, that has to slog it across the table. A shooty guard or even tau would have a field day. All you have to do is kill off the dreadknights. Then just sit back as all these paladins march towards you. I would not deepstike as all it takes is one demolisher of plasma cannon to ruin your day.

I would maybe take 2 x 5 paladins, with draigo for one. Then get a strike/interceptor squad for more bodies and speed. Maybe Corteaz or termie inquisitor. Maybe thats just me though

The issue with the plasma siphon is that Paladins are less afraid of plasma than they are of Melta and Demolisher cannons. Dealing instant death is a big advantage against Paladins.

The other issue with the siphon, is that it only affects weapons that are within 12" of it. With pre-measuring, the enemy can move to be with 12" of a paladin so they can shoot, but out of 12" for the inquisitor, so there is no penalty.

It is an option that has the potential to do a lot, but it depends on the enemy list for it to function. I would prefer a more consistent defensive buff, "like shrouding from a Librarian" to be better, (but that is a more expensive investment as well.)

If you were planning on taking an inquisitor for Divination and Rad grenades, and has a few extra points, the siphon is worth considering, but I would take an inquisitor just for the siphon.

Draigo

10x Paladins - (Psybolt Ammo, 4x Psycannons, 4x Swords, 4x Halberd, 2x Hammers) [Usualy combat squad to psycannons in 1 squad with a hammer]
5x Paladins - (2x Psycannons, 1x Halberd, 1x Sword, 1x Hammer, 1x Warding Stave, 1x Falchions) [Usually deep strikes with Draigo]

As someone who uses Paladins, I will say that I don't think that it's worth taking more than one unit. Dragio's ability to tank shots is key to their survival. 5 man squads drop fast, so do 10 man without Draigo.

Secondly, what's with the wargear? In 5th edition, mixing weapons was great because you could stack. In 6th, I'd run all hammers with 1 stave on the 10 man unit.

Storm Raven - (TL Assault Cannon, Hurricane Bolters, Multi- Melta, Psybolt Ammo) [Used as a gunship]

YMMV here. I'm not a fan, especially because it is so pricey and lacks Bloodstrike missiles.

Dread Knight - (Personal Teleporter, Heavy Incinerator) [Use Grand Strategy to make scoring]
Dread Knight - (Personal Teleporter, Heavy Incinerator) [Use Grand Strategy to make scoring]

Love DK's. No issue here.

I think that in order to make this list better, you should drop the 5 man Pallies and run the 10 man as 4 Psycannons, 9 Hammers, 1 Stave with Draigo. Taking Coteaz would help in that you could grab some cheap bodies to supplement the list. Another option to consider would be adding some IG allies.

Problem i see with dropping paladins is anything else I have would be far more fragile. Interceptors would mean im down another troop choice, GKSS arnt nearly as tough and a hellturky or even a battle cannon would end their game swiftly. With 3x5 man squads of Paladins and the DK's im providing some target saturation that is tough enough to withstand a beating.

I hadn't really considered taking all hammers but its definitely something to think about. But i see draw backs. Against hordes that will be throwing out a lot of attacks ill be striking last which means even with 2 wounds i could be taking quite a few casualties just fro volume of saving throws. Nemesis force weapons instant kill anyway but I do see the advantage of taking a few more hammers to deal with terminators rather than relying on volume of attacks from the other weapons. maybe swap out the swords for hammers and keep some halberds.

Divination on the combat squaded Paladins with 4 psycannons would be very useful at and its a chance to add another psycannon in. Any ideas on where would be best t drop some points?
Thats a good point about the plasma syphon. It would really only protect if the inq is the closest to the plasma weapons and really only stops rapid fire. Maybe not as good as I first thought.

Storm raven even without blood strike missiles is still a good investment. Gunship with potential to take out all types of enemy. Plus I kinda think mind strike missiles are awesome.

Here is my take. As someone who plays 2000 point Paladins.

Draigo

Coteaz

10 Man Paladin
Apothecary Halberd
4x Psycannons w/ the following loadout below:
2 Daemon Hammers
1 Halberd
1 Sword
Bro Banner
Warding Stave
Halberd
Halberd
Hammer
Sword

5 man GK Strike Squad
Psycannon
4 Swords

5 man GK Strike Squad
Psycannon
4 Swords

Stormraven Psybolt ammo, Hurricane Bolters, Multi Melta, Assault Cannon

Dreadknight
heavy incinerator
teleporter

Dreadknight
heavy incinerator
teleporter

That's your Paladin death star. Divination rerolls from Coteaz wounds to soak up with Draigo plus also a warding stave to make things more annoying for your opponent.

I know your adverse to Strike Squads but they can come in via deep strike and they can be held in reserve until you need them using psychic communion. I usually hold them back till the last minute and then deep strike them into play on to or near objectives.

I often combat squad so i dont see much use for the brotherhood banner.
Your right, for some reason i have a serious dislike for GKSS. I really dont know why, i know they are great troops with awesome weapons. Something about taking 10 3+ when i could have 10 2+ 2 wounds doesnt sit right with me.
Ive been thinking about taking an apothecary, but people have already been calling my army cheesy so i decided not to make it worse with a 5+ feel no pain. Maybe i shouldn't care so much what others think, especially in Tournament environments.
I really want to find a way to take an inquisitor tho and the only real way of doing that would be dropping paladins. Dropping any would mean i also loose Psycannons which is the bread and butter of my army. I dont mind if its not Corteaz, although he does have great advantages.Im going to do a proper army count tonight, because i dont think that the list i posted above is exactly 2000, maybe there's space for a inq in terminator armor pml 1 and psycannon.
Anyone reading with a codex to hand want to to a quick tally for me? =P
