This is my first army build and I am looking for suggestions. I play a bit of 3+ player games so My ork need to be a bit more durable so here it is.

Warboss-60
powerklaw-25
bosspole-5
'eavy armor-5
Cybork bod-10 (not sure if I want to keep this)

10 meganobz-400

30 'ard boyz-300
3 rokkit launchas-30

3 deffkoptas-105
3 twin-linked rokkit launchas-30

1 big gunz (kannon)-20 (not sure if I like how this performs)
+3 grots-9

so the list is 999pts, the game plan is to rush my deffkoptas in to try and take out any vehiclesthey have before it can kill my boyz, waaagh with the boys when I get close and meganobz to clean up the mess with there nice 2+ sv after the boyz die. I played a game with the big gunz and didn't like that I could not move and shoot to try and take out vehicles but I really like the range. I came to using the 'eavy armored units because fragile boyz don't make it to the 2nd enemy very good after wiping out the first, and my friends like there dreadnoughts and transports so I need rokkit launchas to take them out because my boys can't.

This is a great deal of speculation on my part, as I haven't a great deal of experience. I'll still put in my two bits though.

On the Boss, I would say you don't want BOTH the Armour and Cybork. Just with my experience of Warbosses, when they get in there and mix it up, they're going to need something more substantial than a +4 Armour.
Since you're going for a more armour based, and armor pen army, I would suggest dropping the Klaw, Armour, and the Cybork body (40 points total), to pick up Mega Armour for your Boss. (This Mega Armour gives your nob a "Free" powerklaw, so you get a +2 Armour and a Twin-Linked for just 15 Points.)

Also, from my experience, Deffkoptas are just BAD. I have NEVER had luck with them at all, and since they have moral, you will sometimes make a above-average roll on Leadership and lose the whole squad as the run off the edge like weedy litl' grotz.
I would suggest nixing the Deffkoptas completely and instead picking up 3 Warbuggies. I've not toyed with them too much, but they are arguably more durable in many situations. Not only that, but a Warbuggy with a Twin-Linked Rokkit is 10 points cheaper EACH.

With these points you could give your 'ard boyz a Nob to lead them (+10), with a Bosspole (+5), and a Big Choppa (+5). You'd even then have 10 points left to give your Warboss his +5 Invulnerability back!

I feel these changes would increase durability of your boss and twin-linked Rokkits. Not only that, it would allow boss poles in both your 'Ard Boyz and your Meganobz; While they have great armour, when it starts to fail, and it will, a boss pole will be useful in making those Moral checks when the model count starts to drop. (The Boss Pole also has some synergy as you may take armour saves against the wound it causes. Look it up in the Ork FAQ if you don't believe me.)

First to Shadow, you may want to revisit the Deff Kopters.

But Scorpio, you list is ard I will give you that, before making suggestions what mods do you have? No point in making suggestions if you do not have and cannot get the mini's.

Firstly sorry to sound like a 'ard git.. but the rules say due (copyright issues and other stuff) taking each point up for each certain uppgrade is agains the terms of blabla.

Anyway taking a footslogging group of 10 meganobz... mhm you know what i think Mad doc grotsnik would work better for this, given them Feel no pain and fearless no matter size of unit + you can give them cybork bodies.
then again i would skip 'ard boyz go for normal and more boyz and skip the rokkits and go for big shootas.
(you allready have 11 power klaws!)
Other than that.. i think you could replace the deffkoptas and the one kannon with a Dakkajet it's awesome taking out side armor of stuff and that 18shots on the waagh is just a KILLER!

Waagh like a bawz

Awesome tips, I never even considered warbuggies. I am also thinking of cutting out 5 meganobs so I can get a battlewagon as a dedicated transport so I can get them into the fray quicker and have an extra piece of anti-vehicle with rokkit launchas.

Trukks? That's like transporting an Abrams Tank on a raft down river! Although, to be perfectly honest, it's not a bad idea. Trukks are the fastest and cheapest transports, you have a decent chance when (not if) the trukks blow up that they will get you closer to the enemy, and with +2 Armour and 4 Toughness, you would be hard pressed to even scratch your nice new paint-job on those MANZ.

However, I think this would complicate keeping their moral up, but with 6th edition and its changes to power weapons, there may actually be no real issues. I don't really know, my knowledge of MANZ is just theoretical.

I've found trukks for mega nobs successful, just have to use cover so they dont get shot down first turn. Used to footslogg them but they always got shot down, so basically now I run flat out with the trukk, then it normally dies, but hey Im 24" closer...

I prefer deffkoptas over buggies for a number of reasons. Scout, so you can either outflank the TL rokkits, or get a pregame movement. And they seem to be more durable to small arms fire than warbuggies which glance to death easily, plus being skimmers they are more mobile and virtually always have a cover save. I think 10 points for that is not so bad. Leadership can be an issue but I normally field them as 3 individual units since they're my only fast attack... then instead of running, one will just die but the others continue.

Also I dont think one kannon will do anything..., maybe take a full battery by cutting down the size of the mega nobs. I feel that they would really struggle to make their points worth with so many.

If you're wanting to get transports, rokkits are okay, but lootas are probably better... unless its a land raider. Another option is to take a warboss on a bike with a powerklaw which would easily deal to them. Then the meganobs on a trukk could clean up the mess as he blasts off.

If your attack is going too well, you have walked into an ambush

The easy way is always mined

Okay round 1 ..lose the kannon..or go for 3 kannon 5 grot one runtherd ..one aegis line with icaris Lascannon..extra grots to man the icarus ..get anti air and anti tank in one package that hits more often than a group of 15 lootas...the runtherd with gp is to keep the grots in line

Drop one Meganob or convert one Meganob to a boss and roll the boss plus 9 meganobs in a battlewagon dedicated transport (so they all fit )
put deffroll aand two big shootas on the BW

make it 20 ard boyz and a nob and take a second battle wagon to move them up ..armed the same

split the deffkotas up and add buzzsaw to them

more boyz ...in trucks in bw and or on foot ..but always always always more boys ...
