I've been thinking about getting a c'tan shard for my necron army, but I dont want the nightbringer or the deciever, so can anyone give me an idea on what models I could possibly convert into a shard ?

You can use the avatar, but there's not much besides it that really work well.

I've seen a couple nice conversions of both the deceiver and the Nightbringer, mainly a swap of head and arms.
