Subject: Ork scratch building dimmensions help?
|

So i was thinking in using my cardboard and platicard to invest in some ork trukks and battlewagons.
I would really appreciate if anyone would give me these dimmensions
Height of battlewagon&trukk
height with killkannon
width of battlewagon and tukk
length of battlewagon and trukk
height of trukk bed and battlewagon bed
Also, do trukks need to be 6 wheeled and battlewagons halftracked, or can I half track the trukks and full track the battlewagon?
Thanks in advance, I don't need perfect measurements but I would like them to be close.

Battlewagon:
Bed Width: 3.5 inch
Cab Width: 2.5 inch
Total Length: 5.5 inch (not counting ram or deff rolla)
Cab Length: 3 inch
Bed Length: 2.5 inch
Cab Height: 2.5 inch
Bed Height: 1.5 inch from ground.
Bed Walls Height (no hardcase): 2.25 inch
Bed Height ( w/ Hardcase): 3 inch
The wheels and tracks are all about 1 inch tall. Don't have a killkannon handy for measurement but I would guess at least another 1.5 inches to the height.
These measurements aren't exact and were taken quickly with a ruler. They don't include extra bits like rams, standing platforms, turrets, etc.

Yes, but keeping to approximate standard dimensions will avoid a lot of arguments in serious games.
Ta for the measuring work, Greenizbest
Re wheels and tracks, it makes no difference at all - I converted my first 2 BWs into one 8-wheeled and one 4-tracked version. Similarly, i've seen 4, 6 and 8 wheeled trukks. The only exception I'm aware of is the warbuggy, where a trakk is a specified upgrade option.

Thanks very much for the measurements greenizbest. Is the bed walls height and cab height from the ground or from 1.5 inches above the ground? I can't thank you guys enough. Anyone have dimensions of the trukk? You can expect to see a battlewagon(if my camera cooperates) by the end of winter break(probably not painted though)

The walls and cab height is total height. The bed height from the ground is just the bottom or floor of the bed where the boyz stand.
