About Us

Wargame Traders is an auction style wargameing site made by wargamers for wargamers. Our goal is to have just one place for wargamers alike to buy and sell new and used wargames. Unlike other auction sites that offer many different products, wargametraders focuses on just table top wargames, collectible boardgames, and customizable card games.

Right now until jan. 8, 2012 there is a 75% off listing fees voucher. It can be used as many times as you like. Please post any questions you may have. We wanted to make it easier and cheaper than other auction sites.

This site must be super fresh. They only have 1 item (a GK codex)

It'll be hard honestly to get people interested in a brand new auction site, though that could just be me. Hasnt there been other auction sites similar to this in the past?

Yup.

miniwarbid.com opened recently (with some miniwargaming.com backing and a huge giveaway to get off the ground). And even with that, it still feels a bit deserted.

It is a hard battle going against eBay

Good luck.

Please list the fees associated with selling. I couldn't find anything in your FAQ.

To be fair, as pricey as ebay is or seems to be, it is very hard to undercut them. If you want to run an auction site like this, chances are you'll want to use paypal to have a safe payment mechanism with lots of users, and paypal is owned by ebay (so ebay still gets the lion share)

The paypal fees alone will bring you up to near ebay prices alone, without even a margin in it for yourself and ebay will often undercut you with special offers and free listings, especially around Christmas time, etc.., simply because they can go lower than what they charge you through paypal.

Wanna run a site like that without paypal, but some other little known payment service? Good luck!

And of course, ebay uses a not insignificant share of the fees they earn and give em back to people marketing their products through their ebay partnership affiliate programme. If you are into eBay as a more or less professional seller, chances are you'll be earning at least some of those fees back through pay-per-click promotions you'll do for your own listings.
