Hmmm, respectable firepower for sure. What are your plans for the honor guard? I'd rather see those points vested into vanguard. More reliable and tactical.

Is the storm raven carrying the terminators? If so, I'd much rather have hammer/shield.

Tycho isn't optimal here either I think. A libby or two would go a long way in this type of list.

Having said all that, this list intrigues me, and I'd sure give it a go if I had all the models.

Mostly though, I'd recommend corbulo and the aegis in a list like this.

I'm not sure exactly what the plan for the HG is, I was just gonna have them add to the guns once the enemy gets close. The SRG is more of an anti-flyer unit than a transport, my group has few enough that one does fine. And I though about Libs, but I feel like the blanket Ld 10 of Tycho helps quite a bit.

You have tycho and the SR, two of my favourite things, but honestly this looks very vanilla marine to me, it's basically vanilla marine with those two, nice idea though, but basically no BA awesomeness, like that you're really pushing the LD 10 blanket and using BA tacs, most people slate them but hell they're still SM and are good at what they do, but this list is a brick, it will do well against most anything but we play BA for flavour and this just isn't it

Yeah no youre wrong. I just rather enjoy the possibility of getting feel no pain and cover, along with a very good flyer

Happened upon this by Google search.

The main tactical issue, to me, with running BA's like vanilla marines is that BA's don't have Combat Tactics and occasionally lose And They Shall Know No Fear (Red Thirst), which are helpful special rules in vanilla marines lists. Additionally, the things that Blood Angels excel at above all other Space Marine chapters (deepstriking, fast attack and jump pack assaulting) are excluded here.
That being said, I am by no means criticizing your list--it's a very strong one. Just pointing out the (small) drawbacks. No list is a perfect one. :-)

Atlasplug's point isn't a bad one, so I wouldn't blow him off.

Finally, I know this thread is almost a month old. I just like to hear (or watch, as it were) myself talk.

Part of the problem is that there no longer is any BA awesomeness. If you play BA for flavor in 6th, you're going lose.... a lot.

That being said, I'd still certainly have one full ASM squad with a priest for counter attack purposes.

I'm not a huge fan of the plasma honor guard, as they are very pricey, but they can be effective.

Oh wait.. the troops have no transports... I don't think foot slogging is going to work in 6th, FNP or not.

Footslogging can be successful! Lots of armies are doing it with the switch to infantry in 6th. FNP will help a lot tho! Get those auras going buddy.

Footslogging is asking for trouble for an army whose HTH tricks still rely on charging.

So, are you saying HTH only works if you are mech or maybe jump infantry?

Well for BA. You see, lists like the CSM and space wolves have access to counterattack. They don't need to charge. So they can footslog. There are still reasons to mobilize them, but its not critical. Units that are fleet can afford to footslog as well.

BA have none of these features. Furious charge only works when we charge, and DC rage (I never use them, but some do) only works on the charge as well. So BA must set up charges. That's really hard to do on foot.

Mech has the problem that it is impossible to assault if a unit was embarked on a non-assault transport. So this limits us to the LR for assaults. Oh yay. The LR is a decent model, but its so pricey.

This is why my current list focuses on mobile shooting with bare minimum assault elements. I've got one full ASM squad with all my ICs in it for a counter attack squad. I've got one 5 man assault squad behind the aegis line with a plasma gun to pew pew with.
