I currently run a fairly standard Nurgle CSM army which is heavily mechanised. However I'm not a fan of carrying around 6 Rhino hulls so I am looking to do away with them while still having a worthy force.

Lord: MoN, Bike, blight grenades, power lance, Brand of Skalthrax = 135

Sorceror: MoN, level 2 = 125

7 Plague Marines: 2 plasma gun = 198

7 Plague Marines: 2 plasma gun, power fist = 223

7 Plague Marines: 2 plasma gun, power axe = 213

5 Bikers: MoN, 2 melta guns, power lance = 175

5 Bikers: MoN, 2 melta guns, power lance = 175

7 Havocs: MoN autocannon = 162

7 Havocs: MoN autocannon = 162

7 Havocs: MoN missile launcher = 182

My biggest issue is the lack of fast scoring units.

Well, i would mount the Plague Marines into Rhinos by taking min sized Havoc squads without marks. Foot slogging is a slow way to die.

The only way for you to have fast scoring units is if you are playing the scouring mission where your bikes count as scoring units.

The rhino's that you dread using are the only things that will carry your 3 squads of 7 Plague Marines a 12" or even another 6" in the shooting phase so that you can transport them a full 18" in one turn.

PMs in rhinos are just made to be together, since you have 2 firing points for those 2 special weapons, and when the rhino does explode, s3 vs t5= wounds on 6 only.

I dont know what you use the sorc for, but I do know what you use the havocs for. If I really needed 3 rhinos, then I would drop the sorc or a Autocannon Havoc squad and reinforce more men into the PM squads. 35x3=105
or even upgrade the other havoc squad to flak missiles.

I currently use Rhinos, the entire point of this list is that it is vehicle free for ease of transport.
