Does anyone actually use it and does it do what it says on the tin without killing my models? I've been noticing that the paint has been chipping a little on the feet/legs of my minis.

Purity Seal is just satin varnish and 'Ard Coat is gloss varnish. Historically, Purity Seal has had frosting issues which as led to wide spread disuse. Both of which are of average to below average quality and are very much overpriced. There are better, cheaper alternatives available elsewhere. I would recommend varnishing any model that you plan on gaming with; a coat or two of gloss varnish for protection followed by a coat of matte varnish to kill the shine of the gloss.

For me Tamiya TS-80 Flat Clear does a great job. Gives I nice even matt finish. For gaming I would would put some gloss on the areas that will be handled the most.

Cheers on preventing me from buying a rubbish product lol . I don't have an airbrush at present, but I'm sure it's a damn sight quicker for painting!
Any good quality, low maintenance airbrushes? Which is better? the gravity ones or the propellant ones?
