Okay, decided I'm actually going to paint up my Tyranids. Now I'm looking for color schemes that will turn out decent results with the following caveats:

1. I'm an okay painter, nothing special, but tabletop quality is doable.
2. I plan to use the polyshade dip for this (either black or dark brown dip, I have both). I want the models very well protected, and want something that makes speed painting feasible. This is a definite.
3. Something that would be accepted if I went to a tournament (as in, hits enough colors etc...)

I've considered these so far, still up in the air, not sure which polyshade will work better:

1. tan/brown/black bodies with bone talons/teeth and red eyes/mouth
2. Green with yellow talons/teeth and red eyes/mouth (may consider black eyes on this one, but not sure how they'd actually stand out)

Any other thoughts/suggestions? And are these from personal experience or theory?

I am the one you warned me of
