Death-Dealing Devastator

Hi!
I just played Metro 2033 and i noticed that some of the so called rangers look a lot like imperial guards...Then I realized that Metro 2033 was made by THQ, who also made the dawn of war series and space marine(the game).
Am I the only one who noticed this?

It's coincidental. Rangers just look like futuristic (sort of) spec ops, and probably have more in common with the Stalkers from the S.T.A.L.K.E.R series than the IG. And metro 2033 was made by 4A games, NOT THQ. THQ just published it; they have nothing to do with development.

Nope. It's just a coincidence. They have more in common with the STALKER series (which are awesome games, btw) than 40k.
Honestly, Guardsmen are kinda generic futureish soldiers so I can understand the look alike
Edit: They're both wearing body armor and a gas-mask. A lot of soldiers do that. It's just a normal coincidence, a funny one, but a normal one

Still. Both the games were PUBLISHED* by THQ. Automatically Appended Next Post: I know it's a coincidence. I'm asking if anyone else has noticed it and find it funny, not if it's not a coincidence.

Oh right, I thought you were actually implying that the rangers were inspired by the IG.
Not really, no. The Rangers looked a bit more like Stalkers to me.
Funnily enough, in the novel the Rangers were called stalkers, though this had more to do with the book roadside picnic (where the term came from) than the game S.T.A.L.K.E.R.

It's dem shoulder pads man. That's what's making you think of it.
Otherwise they'd just look like normal generic soldiers.
