I want to create a successor chapter of the dark angels, To start Instead of the egg color armor of the terminator squad I am looking for more stone look. Does anybody know what base, layers and shade I would need to get a look like this:

I will use it for other details too. As for the dark angle green, I want a lighter green like this:

I want to make the weapons on the models interchangeable so the last thing I need is the size of good magnet to use on arms, a good drill and a cheap supplier. If someone has a picture of a example would be awesome thanks

D11 would probably work just fine. The parts are plastic (and small to boot), so they're light. If you're worried that's too small, check out that webpage at a larger size.
Any typical Pin vice will work. I don't have 1 (i just use a dremel drill bit in my Black and Decker household drill with a steady hand) but checking out Amazon or Thewarstore.com should turn you some decent results. Don't pay anything more than $10, or you're getting ripped off.

As for color, that there stone looks an awful lot like "Fortress Grey." Maybe a hair lighter.
Prime normal Grey, basecoat Fortress Grey, Give it a very light drybrushing or edging with flat white (or slightly darkened white). Wash with a thinned black wash (or grey wash, with multiple applications, dependent on what you want for depth of color). You've been around a little while, do a bit of experimenting.

Why is it that only those who have never fought in a battle are so eager to be in one?

Magnetising is an excellent (and fun imo) thing to do. Check ebay for magnets too - make sure you search worldwide. Lots of good listings can be found by searching for example "n35 3mm 1mm" after you check a guide (or measure) to see which magnets are best for that use.

I use a battery powered drill - corded would probably result in swiss cheese hands but battery powered variable speed is much more convenient than my hand drill hehehe.
