Hey folks!

Just wanted to drop this on some people and see what else I can do to make this guy pop. Although, he already is quite bright, I prefer that instead of all dark and brooding and the like.

Either way, any suggestions at all would be great!

Love the charging pose and the colour scheme. I'd probably shade it a bit more - too bright for my tastes but that's just personal preference. Have you thought about adding gore to the weapons? Transparent red paints and all that guff as in this image from a quick google. Also the white on the helm looks a little ... dirty, or gritty?

Regardless the model is pretty damn awesome.

It needs washes/glazes. A blue wash is probably unnecessary but a glaze (maybe watered down a little first) will help bring the armour together (there is a rather stark difference between the base blue, the highlights and the blue in the gaps) while keeping it bright (a wash would darken it).
The red part of the axes handle needs a wash to add depth, as does the face on the shoulder.

As for making it 'pop', it does already imo but you might want to make the gold on the face brighter as it is the first thing people look at.

Oh, I certainly vote with my dollar, but the problem is that that is not enough. The problem with the 'vote with your dollar' response is that it doesn't take into account why we're not buying the product. I want to enjoy 40k enough to buy back in. It was my introduction to traditional games, and there was a time when I enjoyed it very much. I want to buy 40k, but Gamesworkshop is doing their very best to push me away, and simply not buying their product won't tell them that.

I keep seeing suggestions for more washes and I think the problem is that the light I am using is completely washing them out.

I do know that the horns on his helmet look a little off. I may go back and try to rijig that aspect but I don't know if I can do it any better.

But thanks for the suggestions thus far, it is much appreciated!
