Sprayed my first models today withnthe dragon red and had a few issues, any help would be great!

First 5 models I went (following the youtube video) for the solid colour they show, the result was an epic loss of features and me attempting to strip them.

The second lot went a lot better but it's not really covered it them too well leaving them not quite the red, as if the coverage hasn't quite covered the grey plastic.

To get that even red should I give them another coat tomorrow or not risk losing the detail?

Any tips or help anyone could offer would be great!

If your looseing detail with Army Painter Colour Primer your holding the model to close to the can or spraying entierly to much.

Use several thin coats instead of one heavy coat.

Also when your spraying over gray plastic the red is always going to come out slightly darker then indicated. If you really want that perticular red I would recommend priming white then spraying it red.

I would guess you are having issues with the proper distance from the spray nozzle. Once you find the sweet spot, I spray at different angles and directions to get it coated well. Nothing wrong with doing multiple light coats. Try to find the angle to hit the points that you missed the first time.

Do you spray outside or inside? I spray outside (out in the open) and even the slightest breeze screws with me.

I was outside but it wasn't windy, i'll pay more attention to the distance with another coat tomorrow (weather permitting).
