I have only really been playing my Armored Battlegroup in 6th edition because hull points are nuts. Trying my hand at regular IG for non-local tournaments because people think Armored Battlegroup is too scary outside of town, so here it goes...

seems like a fine hybrid list.... i assume you have creed in your CCS (seriously though just put his name) and what are you outflanking with him?

I swear I think those two have a hate-crush on each other sometimes.

Yes, it is the creed upgrade. My IG army isn't loyalist so I always wrote it as that way.

Took him because of 4 orders while maintaining Ld10 heavy weapons. The ouflanking option is basically there for either a pcs/vet squad depending on which weapons I want to outlfank, and could be accompanied by the other vet/pcs squads hopping into outflanking vendettas. Astropath is there so these guys all end up in the right location. Only real downside is if my opponent has the aegis wall with interceptor gun and shoots down a vendetta full of guys. That would be when I would just probably keep them in their Chimeras, and have them just force down one side.

Ideally, Creed with a bunch of potentially outflanking units just creates more options during deployment to help deter away from being a static gun-line, and putting nasty stuff in my opponent's face.

Honestly, the infantry squads are there to hold objectives, go to ground behind the wall, and as a meatshield against my opponent getting bonus objectives like linebreaker (just FRFSRF them to death), slay the warlord (throwing bodies into the fight).

Plan is to hold my side of the board against whatever is dumb enough to walk my way, and scalpel out whatever is the largest threat to me, as I shove pcs/vet squads into the gaps in their lines for objectives

It's bottom-heavy and not terribly well balanced.

For the former, you're throwing a lot of points at do-nothing infantry squads. I'd either get the points to arm them properly, or drop your infantry platoons altogether so that you can get more mechvets (which you should also arm properly). For the latter, you've got your anti-tank pretty well covered, but a single manticore is not going to handle all of your anti-horde. Furthermore, you've got a lot of your anti-heavy-infantry tied up in just a couple of flimsy PCSs.

Also, I really don't get creed and the lord commissar. You're spending a LOT of point just to make a couple of autocannons and a lascannon squad (both of which are super fragile) take orders slightly more often. I'd much more seriously consider either dropping the CCS entirely, or dropping the lord commissar and taking a proper killy CCS.
