In the past I have painted a few terminators but every time the Ushabti Bone it just doesn't look right. A little to rough and too I dunno too yellow. So does anyone have any idea's for Deathwing colour schemes, not just the main colour. I would be using this on normal boxed termies and the DV ones as well.

You know Warhammer is getting to real when you being using 40K swears, for example "fug" and "Emperors Hairy Arse!" When writing this the word arse was not recognized, well done.

I got an awesome tip from a GW worker while he was covering my nearest shop, he was painting some at the time, he'd sprayed them white, then used seraphim sepia shade all over the model, then used ushabti to highlight, and honestly they looked immense, I'm going to use it on my dark vengeance terminators when I get them on Tuesday, if I remember (and not get carried away with the hell brute) il try post you a picture, or if you try it let me know how it goes

And I'm unsure myself about the cloth colour, for my vets, I used ushabti, then used agrax earth shade on it then dry brushed ushabti back on top, but because the terminators are a simler colour I might go for red, I'm thinking khorne, highlighted evil suns then use null oil on top, and Mephiston on top if its too dark,

I'm going to try upload a few images of my DA army for you, see if it helps, I'm not the best painter so please excuse the roughness

bournemouth, uk

For my personal ones i use:
White undercoat
Flesh wash
Bronzed flesh
Bleached bone
White

not a great example but heres a pic

using mixes ect in between, it is time consuming but comes out very nice.

Other wise for commisions I mostly use graveyard earth then bleached bone then white. and for battle damage sponge on Chardon granite and boltgun metal.

Sorry for using old colour nomes but i haven't had to update most paints yet.

Hope this helps.

I've seen the 'fake review' and I've just uploaded my dark angels pics, no terminators yet, but that's the feel I've gone for in my army, let me know what you think, (there the only images in my gallery)

Cheers they were a new project when I got fed up of painting stupid amounts of orks!

Yeah I found a review of January's white dwarf, then it had a link to pretty much every new release, don't want to get in trouble by spilling the beans but they look very good, and will fit in nicely with my theme

What thing am I spilling the beans on -_-. *whistles*, if I had a camera now, I would put up mine. But I've messed the robes on the sergent and have no skin tone. I tried to paint a proxy apothacarey, just paint him white with red around the pads but Ulthuan grey is just bad looking in a "Large" quantity and its lumpy even after attempted thinning, you having the same problem?

Yeah Ulthuan and ushabti seem to be very thick paints, there the only ones (so far) that don't like being washed off a brush, I tried to add water to ushabti but that failed, maybe it's a way of GW saying 'go spend another £2.50 on a paint your gonna use for 5 models then never use again'

Maybye i dunno. My Ushabti is thin but it clumps when i put it on and requires a few layers by this stage looks horrible. The hobbit starter set the w/ the 5 goblins is very nice it comes with some good paints, I'm going to pick that up for my deathwing most likely.

This how I paint mine:
Spoiler:

I used Camo Medium Brown, Light Brown, and Sand (all from the Vallejo Model Air range) with edge highlights of white and a VanDyke Brown oil wash for the armor. Hope it helps!
