I like a plainer librarian to fit the fluff a bit, I intend to have 3, one of the GW ones and 2 plainer home brew ones. For my second I'm planning the same shoulder pads but with a black templer torso (templer symbols removed), grey knights force hood, Grey knights storm bolter and for a power weapon this:

Does this work for a blood raven or is it too blood angel? my other option would be a grey knight halberd.

I think it'd be alright, though I'm not a Blood Raven player. They may feel differently. Have you thought about an axe? The BT ones are kinda cool, as are some of the SW ones if you could file off the chapter specific markings, or use LGS to cover them. Also one of the chosen from dark vengeance is carrying a really cool axe.

Even better you could try shell out for the severin loth kit from FW. It'd give you a great librarian model and some awesome bits. Loads of great axes.

I've got this kit and plan on using him as a "count as" Mephiston for me BA successor army. I'm also currently using one of his honour guard torsos to kit bash my other librarian. Just trying to get a hold of the GK rear torso that you have used for the psychic hood. (you can see the wip in my blog).

So, yeh, highly recommend the severin loth kit. There's a few red scorpion icons, but nothing really that can't be removed.

May I suggest you obtain some Grey Knight bits for your Librarian's armor instead of the BT? And I used a regular Storm Bolter mainly to help identify the model as a Librarian and not a GK who grabbed the wrong bucket of paint.

Not a fan of axes but the forge world model is fantastic! bit more than I would spend but probabily one of the best models I've seen yet.

I toyed a lot with using more grey knight parts and I may still yet.
