Hey guys, first of all, I just want to introduce myself. I am very new to Warhammer 40K, and I am in the midst of building a Chaos Space Marines army. My one simple (and stupid) question is this: Under a unit's list in the Codex, where it states "Wargear," is this weapons and armor that this unit AUTOMATICALLY comes with? And requires no points investments? My instincts tell me that it is, but I would just like some feedback if I am incorrect or not. Thanks!

As for the question, yes, the wargear listed in a units entry without point costs is the default equipment that you get for free.
(Just as a note, questions like that should go down in the 40k section)

And yes. The equipment that is listed under wargear is the equipment that you start with.
