I got a bunch of models that seem to have been painted with some sort of enamel paint. I already soaked them in simple green for a few days and it doesn't seem to have worked very well. Does anybody have an idea on how I can get the paint off without melting the plastic?

Most miniatures have been painted with some form of enamel paint. Up until the last couple years - there haven't been any non-enamel (or lacquer with is just as tough to deal with) rattle cans...so all the primers and clear coats which came from rattle cans were enamel.

You strip them just like you do other paints. Simple Green will work - though you will want to give them a good brushing with a stiff bristle brush (cheap tooth brush or otherwise). Normally I just go to Super Clean or Easy Off.

Superclean will work much better than Simple Green. I really wish people would stop hyping the green, it just doesnt work nearly as well.
