Battlebox tactics?

In general you want to keep your warcaster back and use your arcnodes and slayer to kill things. Use your feat to help the assasination or when pretty much all your force is in a position to attack something.

Against khador (Sorcsha) you can crippling grasp the juggernaut and pretty much remove it from play. Get an arcnode about 3-4 inches from her and knock her down then beat her up. Watch out for her extreme threat range. She can move up very quickly.

I am not sure what the retribution box all has. I believe the caster is Kaelysa though and she is a pain. Her witchhunter ability will make your life a real pain at the battlebox level. Your best bet is still try to knock her down and then kill her off in melee from your other jacks. Otherwise, she has spells that can get rid of your debuffs and her shooting ignores your camped focus and LOS with phantom hunter.

Play battlebox games to learn the game, not to neccesarily win alot. The battlebox is designed to learn with, not neccesarily be competitive with. Once you have gotten past the battlebox stage to 15-25 point lists you will start to get into more balance.

You have what 3 jacks that are Arc Nodes, a Heavy and pDenny (top 3 casters in the game man).

Basic tactic is to use your numbers to spread the Khadoren jacks move pDenny up, pop your feat and kill everything.

You shouldn't have any trouble against Khador, You're much faster, with more focus, a much larger threat range, and you have the numbers to out manuver pScorchia.

As for Ret...not much help to you there, haven't played them yet.

For Ret, engage their arcnode, and watch the threat range on the heavy. The feat is tough, but you should easily be able to get around it.

Don't be afraid to use denny in assassination runs at bottlebox levels. Her MAT is low, but if you can score a knowdown through a node, she can seriously lay some hurt.

As others have said, avoid sorcha's feat. It will take away your high defense and leave you weak.

No wargames these days, more DM/Painting.

I paint things occasionally. Some things you may even like!
