I started play cryx a couple of weeks ago and have had a fun time with them, however I have not been winning a lot with them (although the matches were fairly close and the guys I play with have played much longer than me). My cryx army consisted of:

Nightwretch
Skarlock Thrall
Max unit of Bane thralls + UA
Bane Lord Tartarus
Saxon orrik
Gorman Di Wulfe
Machine Wraith
Warwitch Siren

I have now come up with an alternate list after doing some thinking and this is what I have got:

Nightwretch
Skarlock Thrall
Bane Thralls (Leader and 9 Grunts)
Bane Thrall Officer & Standard
Bane Lord Tartarus
Satyxis Raiders (Leader and 9 Grunts)
Satyxis Raider Sea Witch

My oppenent plays Menoth/Cygnar. He has stopped playing menoth for a while and is now playing Cygnar. He takes a list that can gun me down from far away and always gets the alpha strike on me, leaving me with next to nothing. The reason I think he gets this is that the Bane thralls are so slow compared to normal cryx units, which is why I took in the raiders. Can anyone give me their thoughts on this list and if it would be a good counter to my mates 16inch threat ranges.

Any idea what stuff he's fielding? It'll be easier to help you if we know what you're facing!

In general, as a Cygnar player the things that really annoy me when playing Cryx are bonejacks. They are fast, and can cause a serious problem if left alone, especially as several of them have arc nodes and will bring some serious magical hurt if they get close enough. They are also cheap enough that you can field a load of them. Make him split his fire up and your heavy stuff will be safer.

He is playing his second list more regularly now but his 1st list is the one that gave me the most problems ;S
