Not bad for your 1st try did you water your paint down at all ? If not I would recommend doing so and giving two or three thin coats to give a smoother finish especially for your whites.

Nice work for you first paint job, much better than mine for sure. I really like the base, it's very well done
I do however have a nit to pic.... You should have taken the mould lines off It looks so much better without.
Other than that, good work, keep it up!
And Merry Chriztmuz! Waargh!

Looking good so far. I think the eyes might be an oppertunity for a color to make them really "POP" and be a point of focus on the model. Base is a bloody mess, and that's great! The ork head on the power fist arm will only make it look better.

Looking good man, for your next models before you prime them take your hobby knife (i use the file from toe nail clippers ) and clean up the mold lines. It takes more work, but the mini will look alot cleaner. Keep up the good work!

Also, mold lines are time consuming to remove, but are very worthwhile and improve the overall look significantly.

Very good for a first attempt, far better than my first space marine 16 years ago. But I guess there's one difference between then and now: there was no massive internet with painting tutorials and advice back then to help people get started. You've got some good brush control.
To keep practicing, without using up more models, you can just soak these guys overnight in some Simple Green (cleaner/degreaser) and scrub the paint off with a toothbrush and start again.

Very well done for first attempt. Be proud. You can only get better.
And I hate to join the train, but remove the mold lines and thin your paints (the white at least, the blue looks fine)
