Total 40k newb. Have friends that have played, have never played myself. I started painting in earnest this year.

My daughter tasked me to get myself an xmas present, so I went to my FLGS and zoned out, looking for something I'd never actually get myself. I ended up coming back to the Ravenwing Battleforce boxed set, so finally I just picked that up. I told my work friends who play 40k about it, and they recommended the Dark Vengeance boxed set, so my wife is getting me that. Coolness.

Right after, I discovered that there is a new Dark Angels Codex, even cooler. So I'm looking forward to actually opening these boxed sets, getting the Codex in January, and putting together my first armies. Good times!
