Have a few situations that have come up in some games recently mosly relating to snap shots. First question regards Fire Prisms. Stunned no longer prohibits shooting entirely but disallows anything but snap shots. Can i give up the snap shots for the Prism Cannon to nhance a second Fire Prism?

Second situation involves Psycannons. If Purifiers are charged do I fire the Psycannons as assault 2 or heavy 4 during overwatch? This is assuming I moved in my previous movement phase.

Yes, Why wouldn't you be able to?

You can fire them as assault 2 or heavy 4 during overwatch.

The Heavy rules refer to firing heavy weapons as snap shots if you moved that turn. But you did not move that turn, and overwatch fire is snap shots only anyway so fire at Heavy 4.

The reason you wouldn't be able to is that the Prism Cannon only has template modes be it blast or large blast and you cannot fire templates as snap fire. As far as heavy is it moved that turn or that player turn because that makes a diference.

Turn refers to player turn. So any statement of "turn" is no different from "player turn".

The Prism constribution is a special rule and isn't so much of a shot as it is giving up the ability to shoot the cannon for a different effect. Just like according to the FAQ it can contribute to a cannon in a game being played the other side of the planet if you wanted (assuming line of sight) and the contribution ability does not prevent the underslung gun from firing at whatever else you please.

Of course if the weapon is destroyed, it is what supplies the ability so in that case you cannot use it but if the fire prism is only able to fire snap shots it still may voluntarily give up its firing ability.
