Well my buddy is way too generous or he got a great deal. A boxed set of wu ming, he accidently got two hac tao with hmg, and an ikadron batroid with imetron. He wants me to play more yu jing because i keep losing with my shasvastii.

Anyone else get cool stuff?

Most of my xmas games spending happens at the end of January (big games convention with dealers and even lower prices and no shipping charges).

I need to see a Jotum without the extra armour pieces on it before I get one.

I got the MO starter box, so I'm a happy camper. I was also expecting Game of Thrones from my sister, but ended up with some Mozart chocolate cream instead.

Santa came a bit early for me when I stopped over to visit my dad's apartment.

My family loves that I love my hobbies, but aren't interested and/or confident enough to buy stuff from it for me!

That's OK though as this way I can get exactly what I want!

Ya I had to get game stuff from my buddy I regularly play against. I could give the family a link right to something to buy and they still don't get it. As if I didn't "really" want that thing I sent to them for them to get it for me.

I did finaly get however the Blu-ray of Avengers, and 2 Thor. I'll exchange one of the Thor for Amazing Spider-Man.

Just waiting for the 28th, and for the Warstore to list the new Infinity releases...

Well, for some reason wanted some shopping therapy last night. So on the way home from work last night I went to the store and used my in-store credit to get Human Sphere Yu Jing Remotes, Lu Duan, and Rui Shi. I also picked up another set of the Combined Ikadron/Imetron blister.

Also, they happened to get in the Go Go Marlene that I had paid for with the Paradiso book, but they didn't have at the time! That was a nice surprise.

I still need the new Shaolin monks and a few other things too.

Just starting Infinity after a long time looking and all I can say is my girlfriend is awesome.

That's a great start to the glorious empire!

Unfortunately I didn't get anything Infinity related as gifts - though I grabbed the OOP Odalisque with Boarding Shotgun (I've been trying to get this for a while) and Hassassin with HML with Christmas bonus/gift money I got from work, so does that count?

I gave my brother a pack of Celestial Guard for Christmas to help him bulk out his Yu Jing so we can start having some games.

Nice find, Loki. It's my favorite Odalisque model despite the assembly. I managed to grab one from CB when I won their painting contest. This is just right before the went OOP.

It was a pretty lucky find at my FLGS. I was actually trying to find the Muyib 2 pack with the DEP and rifle/shotgun, and found the Odalisque hidden away.

There's an odalisque with boarding shotgun (two, actually) blister at my FLGS atm. They won't be part of my QK army when I start it up next year anyway, so I didn't grab either.

(I'll be playing QK purely because of other mercs I do have).

Well you might as well grab them. They might be worth a lot when Infinity gets more popular and a lot of people are looking for OOP models

Well, all of my stuff seems to have shipped. I'm curious to see if the package coming from the US will get here faster than the neighbouring province.

Is it common for people to have warbands of more than one faction? My friend is already thinking about getting into Yu Jing, but I feel like I'm quite happy with staying in PanO.

I started with Yu Jing but then I got CA. One reason was so that others could borrow it to play too. Now Nomads have been calling to me.

As for presents, my wonderful wife gave the the Steel Phalanx box and I gave her the Morat and Shasvastii SpecOps and two other blisters of line troops, Shasvastii I think (and gave myself Scarface and Cordelia).

As for the question regarding how common it is for players to have more than one army...over half the players in our local group of eight have at least two armies. I have five armies and one of our players has everything but the Tohaa. My wife is leaning toward starting her second now but is still unsure. The rest are more than happy with just one army.

We noticed a weird correlation the other day, the more years one of us has been in the tabletop hobby the more likely that player is to begin collecting additional armies.

The vast majority of folks here have more then one faction. Only reason I don't is because it's a personal rule of mine to only play 1 faction per game. Haqq has beckoned me a few times though.

That's not weird at all. The longer you play with just one army, the more likely you'll get bored with it and want a change.

Plus Infinity needs much less money to start an army so it's more likely to buy something else once you're satisfied with your current army.
