Sup dakka. So I recently purchased from battlefoam their mantic bag to transport my space wolves in. They have the same hard inner shell as their PACK bags but are significantly cheaper. Anyone have any experience with these bags?

Yes. It's not the biggest bag ever but quality is great, cam't fault them on that. Personally though, I hate the hard foam; to make good use of BF you'd basically have to do everything custom or your models will not be suspended in foam as much as bouncing around in it.
I quickly found out it takes KR half-size foam with some room to spare (which KR's dice/accessory tray/box/case) fills up nicely) so it's all good
I know some folks like te "standard" foam but IMO you'd have to really really hate your collection for that
Getting custom foam separately from a bag is just prohibitively expensive, so I have really mixed feelings about the bag.

The moment BF offers softer foam in their standard, or even pluck trays I'd be all over several of these and a 1520 (sic) or so; now though - meh.
If you can deal with the foam, or have the $$$ for custom foam though; best case bar none IMO (and I just love the way I can stack 6-7 night/doom scythes in it side by side and still have enough room for infantry to complete ~2K points, all in that small case. That's rare nowadays, with all the huge-ass models around )

Battlefoam makes good bags, but their foam is expensive and lacking. If you're going to get a bag, get the size that fits the standard 13" x 7.5" foam trays instead of the other inexplicable varieties of sizes the company has.
Unfortunately with the bags you bought, you're stuck buying Battlefoam's oddball tray sizes. Thankfully, they offer a useful tray designer and pluck-foam.
