So I just got a leman russ demolisher kit and am starting to put it together, and I was thinking that it might be a good idea to add a dozer blade to the model. For a tank that needs to get dangerously close to fire it's gun, being able to almost ignore difficult terrain would be a plus. Would this be a good use of points, or should I leave the dozer blade off?

It isn't a must have option, However. If you have the points for it in your list. It is a pretty good idea to do. For the very reason you said.

I don't typically bother with it TBH. However if you're going to try to utilize terrain/hug walls/etc than yes it's a strong option.

Nah, dont bother. Dozer blades are good for assault vehicles or flamer chimeras, things that NEED to go over difficult terrain to do their job. The demolisher cannon's 24" range is still plenty that you should be able to reach most targets without having to tackle terrain (unless youre playing with lots of terrain, or you deployed weirdly). It's usually worth it to risk imobilizing than to spend the 10 points (that's another meltagun that has a better chance of destroying a vehicle that a dozer has of saving yours!)

I run my demolishers with the dozer blades. It has come in handy more than once. It isn't a must ave, but it is a better ten point option than others.

I roll ones remarkably more than average, so I opted for the dozer blades on my demolisher.

In fact, in Apoc games, everything gets dozer blades, because I roll astronomically bad.

Basically, YMMV, consider how busy your tables are, and how your list is looking.

Therefore, I conclude, Valve should announce Half Life 2: Episode 3.

I'd definatly go for it, its not a must have but think how much cooler the model will look with it attached. We all know the cooler the model looks the better it shoots.

Magnetize the blade. Sometimes you may want the points for something else.

reading that I feel like a dummy for never considering this as a possibility. It's brilliant
