I'd love to use some of the Warlord Games 28mm WWII Soviet figures to spice up a potential future Valhallan army. But does any of you have experience in how these models compare with the GW valhallans in terms of size?

The Warlord Games stuff is "True" 28mm as opposed to the "Heroic" 28mm stuff made by GW. The infantry will look weedy in comparison and the weapons are going to look downright anemic. I would use Valhallans as Veterans and the Soviet stuff as the bulk of the army. I would definitely do Weapon Swaps if not outright arm swaps.

Does anyone make "Heroic" 28mm WWII Russians? I am especially intrested in female medics and snipers...

Iunno, judging from those pictures, theyre still pretty stylized and should fit in pretty well with IG. They still have huge heads and hands. The guns might be a bit small, but youll be swapping them for lasguns anyways.

I wonder how do they size up compared to GW plastic lasguns; if they size up well, they might be cool to convert into "summer uniform" Valhallans. Maybe I could even convert their vehicles into "Valhalla-pattern Leman Russes and Chimeras"...

Anyone know about any company making "Heroic"-scale 28mm WWII and/or Vietnam War minis?
