How many Broadsides is the right number of Broadsides?

How many Broadsides will efficiently get the job done? The only reason that I use Tau as a Primary Detachment is so that I can have three units of Broadsides (2-man teams each), and with the Team Leaders having Target Lock, they can effectively fire at 6 different targets. As an Allied Detachment, the most I can get is three Broadsides in one unit, and only one Team Leader with Target Lock, which would reduce me to 2 shots at one target and 1 shot at a separate target. (Plus with any opponent's dedicated backfield threat removal squads out there, 3 units are harder to deal with than 1.) What is the consensus on Broadside utility?
