Hey dakkamakka! loving the work so far!The choppa looks particularly orky and brutal. In terms of sculpting, you don't seem to need much advice, you have the muscle groups down pretty well and in general the shapes do look awesome.

Only pointers would be;
Get some milliput. Mix it with the GS, milliput is more brittle, but sandable, combined you get a lovely mix of a material that still remains flexible, but is sandable and you can use files on it (something GS by itself has an issue with).
Maybe add more sinew and muscle definition; here's some grotesques I am working, on, now bearing in mind I am going massively overboard with muscle, but I think you'll get the idea. I think your ork boss could do with having some seriously ripped and bulking out muscles, with veins and such. The body is made of so many muscles and little bits of tendon, show it off! Plus having seen the detail you've managed to achieve on the initial face sculpt I know that you can achieve it.

Yeh don't buy your modelling stuff from GW, I get my GS off ebay for like £10 and I get something stupid like a meter for that price

Milliput is also reasonable on ebay/amazon.

have no idea about the plate orientation, would look good anyway up imo.

As for head size, I wouldn't worry too much, give him a nice sized gob and he'll look awesome. Orks have such varying sized bodies and such. Maybe he just liked to 'eadbutt, or bellows a huge waaaagh! keep going imo

As for your dude, the muscle is looking fantastic, I love how the veins turned out, hows the robotic arm coming along?

Muscles are lookin' real sweet. Are you using the AOBR warboss as inspiration? I believe he has side muscles like that no?

As for going for perfection, personally i'd just get it looking good and then get on with the rest, but I am an impatient modeller

He's going to look awesome, I like how grizzled his face looks, much better than the comic faces the GW sculpts have.

yeh he's looking sweeeeeet I quite like the tooth ratio, admittedly he is a little gappy, but it gives more of a feel that he's so large his teef are worth a fortune, that even if just a lil' one pops out, he gets his armour gold plated

He's really startin' to come together! almost time for the Doc to stitch him back up!

How are you thinking of joining the arm to the torso? I love the detail btw, sculpting can be so rewarding, as I often find you can create some seriously good looking effects with flesh, like all the sinew on your muscles
