Now I have the army book and have been browsing the interwebs for some basic information I feel like I can plan a list. I love the rules regarding eKaya and the fact she can bring a load of Beasts and control them easily without worrying about Fury as much appeals to me. Not as subtle, but should hit like a ton of bricks.

So what I was thinking was:

eKaya

Feral Warpwolf
Gnarled Satyr
Shadowhorn Satyr

5 Warpborn Skinwalkers

...And that's really all I have thought about so far. 25pts to go and I'm a little unsure of which direction I would like to take it from there. Adding a Gorax would buff the Warpwolf to immense levels, but equally I feel that this list (so far) may be a little one dimensional. Are there any alternative ways of giving this list a bit more of a Circle vibe?

Just had a quick flick through the book again and I see that a Blackclad Wayfarer combined with Shifting Stones helps to give some boosted mobility. He can also help give a nice increase to a charge.

After a long look through the Army Book I have come up with this 50pt list:

eKaya + Laris

Feral Warpwolf
Gnarled Satyr
Shadowhorn Satyr
Gorax

5 Warpborn Skinwalkers
Druids of Orboros + Overseer UA
Shifting Stones

Lord of the Feast
Blackclad Wayfarer.

Obviously I see that eKaya works extremely well with Beasts but I feel the list needs more than just that or I may find myself essily countered. Adding the LotF helps deal with potential tarpits while the Blackclad really is just a nice solo that synergizes well with the Shifting Stones. They are also a great way of managing my excess Fury, getting a little extra mobility and a nice healer too. The Druids are really there as a nice Jack-of-all-Trades unit. eKaya doesn't really do anything for units so I feel it's best just to bring something that is self sufficient.

The buffs I can potentially get on the Feral I feel can be quite game changing. Give him +2SPD from his warping ability, +2 movement from Dog Pile (as well as a charge on something he didn't have LoS to), +2 movement from the blackclads Hunters Mark and +2 movement from the Gnarled Satyrs Animus...he could catch something a fair distance away and if I use eKayas feat could pull him back from reprisals once he has made an assassination run. Obviously he may not get all these buffs at once, but pulling it off would be worth it just for the look on an opponents face.

Obviously this is just one potential surprise but it was the first that came to mind when I saw eKaya's abilities. Any thoughts or suggestions on the list? It is my first...

Oh and something I am wondering about though and I hope some veterans can clear up for me...what does it mean exactly when it says under TACTICAL TIPS: "Modifiers to movement apply only to a model's normal movement"? These movement bonuses mostly apply to a charge or slam move so is there something I missed in the rulebook?

Nothing yet? I guess that's actually ok since I am already second guessing myself and have come up with an alternative which fits eKaya better (more fast, more furious):

eKaya + Laris

Feral WarpWolf
WarpWolf Stalker
Gnarlhorn Satyr
Gorax

6 Druids + Overseer UA
6 Druids
Shifting Stones

Lord of the Feast

Basically with eKaya I figure more offense is better than playing defensively. Druids are (from what I understand so far) very good as units regardless of support. Had to shift points around a bit and I lost the Skinwalkers but I think overall adding the extra Druids gives this list a bit more in the way of versatility without losing too much actual punch.

Thoughts?

If you are not going for tier lists, I would suggest you drop a unit of druids, drop the shadowhorn, switch the feral to a stalker, and pick up a fully decked out unit of reeves with UA and maybe the reeve hunter. An argus might actually be more useful in your list than the gorax (faster, saves a point and grants pathfinder and circular vision ) this is dependent on how much terrain you'll have to play through and is a situational either/or decision.
IMO shifting stones are nice, but they're a little easy to break without the UA.
Also, a nice inclusion to any list is the woldwyrd. for 5 pts you can effectively shutdown a good chunk of the casters in hordes (i'm looking at you trollbloods) and make some of the best spells in warmachine (signs and porttents) unuseable.
I want to say that I do think your list is very nice though. i do things differently, and the main drawback to your list is that its completely stopped by light infantry swarms, heavy infantry bricks, hexeris from skorne, and terrain. I guess thats all really only an issue depending on your local gaming meta where you play.
Keep playing, and keep up the good work!!

Can I ask why you would switch the Feral to a Stalker and drop the Druids for Reeves? Druids are more capable of being a stand alone unit without support (but at the same time do some nice things to help Warbeasts) while Reeves are a little more defensive.

I can see how the Argus would fit nicely though, but I had heard great things about his Animus; When you absolutely want something dead put it on a Feral and let it go hunting.

Actually the above list wasn't fully thought through. I had 15pts left and without thinking I just added another set of Druids and the Satyr. Now that I have had another flick through the rules and Faction book I have come up with ANOTHER list. I had assumed that since the Shifting Stones were just 3 rocks that they were fearless...Now I see why the UA is considered pretty much mandatory. Stealth, Command and a much larger radius to do their thing. Hopefully the following list should be an improvement:

eKaya + Laris

Feral Warpwolf
Pureblood Warpwolf
Warpwolf Stalker

Gorax
Argus

6 Druids + Overseer UA
Shifting Stones + UA

Lord of the Feast
Warwolf

Warwolf is simply the last point to spend, but he synergizes well with anything else if they get stuck in at the same time. Can also be used as a fire-and-forget missile if needed.

I also had missed the "Blessed" part of the Purebloods animus. Combined with his magical spray it makes him a great multi-tasker and the Stones do a lot for him.

The Argus also meshes well with the LotF thanks to Circular vision. He alone can clear out whole units of potential tarpits with that Animus on him. And if it comes to it and my opponent fields a ton of light infantry I can always Trample.

I feel as though this incarnation has a lot more "tools in the box" so to speak. There are a lot of good stand alone choices but equally they can give each other a lot of synergy and support if needed. Again though, any advice or constructive criticism is welcome!

Good list!! perhaps a feralgeist as an either/or option with the war wolf? the ability to just stand one of your beasts back up with a few boxes for one last strike is ridiculous.

I can see what a feralgeist would bring to the party and it looks pretty tempting. In fact it's a much better fit than a warwolf so thanks for the idea.

I'm now looking at alternatvies to the Druids. Since eKaya likes her stand alone infantry I was thinking perhaps replacing them with either Skinwalkers (with the UA) or perhaps even Tharn Wolf Riders. Prey, Luck and Weapon Master means they can hit hard with insane movement options. I guess I will playtest each of them as I purchase them since they all look like slid choices, to me at least. I would like to say it's not because I think Druids are bad, I'm just trying to think of potential alternatives.
