Hi Dakka,
I stumbled across the following rules and fell instantly in love with the concept (thanks and full credit to Christianjamesfry).
Rules: Iron Dethball (APOC)
We only play Vanilla though and have yet to start playing with
Apoc so I need to modify the rules a tad to work correctly. I've put some test rules together and we have test-played with it 3x already. Pretty happy with it so far but looking for your expert advice to fine tune them where required.
Rules: Iron Detf Ball (Van)
The Iron Deth Ball
Play Test 1: I aimed the ball at a Tyranid
HQ squad. The ball scattered on Deep Strike and bounced back towards my deployment. No casualties.
Play Test 2: I aimed at a rather pricey squad of Grey Knight Paladins (10 man). I bounced back and forth over the squad 3 times. A total of 10 HITs with 2 gleeful casualties recorded.
Play Test 3: I aimed at an Imperial Guard Tank and landed the Deep Strike with a HIT. I was unable to penetrate the armour and rolled off accordingly.
Opponents were all satisfied with the damage to point cost ratio and we all rather enjoyed the randomness. Can the Dakka community suggest any improvements or point out any balance concerns?
