What armor value do you use when you scatter a blast marker back on the firing vehicle?

Pg 73 of the Rulebook, under Shooting at Vehicles: Blast Weapons; the last sentence answers the question.

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.
Excerpt from "Seeress of Kell", Book Five of The Malloreon series by David Eddings.

I have read that section a few times. I am still not sure of what armor value to use because the blast marker is landing on the vehicle that fired it.

Measure from the muzzle of the gun to center of the Tank. Nine times out of ten you will be hitting the front armour from a main gun and side armour from sponsons weapons. Happens all the time ... normally when i get cocky with a demolisher cannon.

Or rather, a faulty ordnance shell detonated upon firing, something like that.

Don't be so reasonable; that makes too much sense.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

One of my favorite incidents in 40k. Fresh Baneblade tries to shoot charging Ghaz with primary. Scatters back on tank and (5th edition) climbs up the damage tables until that one shot destroyed the tank. Hilarious!
