Has his appearance been discussed in any HH book yet? I'm going to be making a model of him and want to make it as close to his HH description as possible.

He looks like an Emperor's Champion, just a little more blinged out perhaps.

I'd look into :

- Horus Rising
- Flight of the Eisenstein

Sigismund also changed his appearance from the Legions Heraldry to Black, the color of all Emperors champions and the Templars he lead later on. So it will depend of the date how he may look like.

As the First Captain of the Imperial Fists Space Marine Legion, maybe you'll find something when he's accompanying his Primarch. In his duty as Emperors champion, its like all EC. Clad in black with a Black Sword ( 1 1/2 handed ).

I just started Shadows of Treachery and the first story is an Imperial Fists novella. Sigismund was in it for a short time towards the beginning, and may appear later, I'm not very far in. I'd go back and check if they described him for you, but I'm reading it on my Kindle so going back and forth is a massive pain . But yeah, that would be a good book to check.

Oh and at this point (after Istvaan) he does still have yellow armor, not black. I do remember that.

Unless it has been retconed in the novels... Sigismund was still a normal coloured Imperial Fist all the way through the Heresy till the battle of Terra, it was then that he was appointed the Emperors Champion and presented with the equipment of the Champion including the armor, sword, Iron Halo and pistol.

Well the blade of his sword was still black at the time, if that helps.

He's in Mechanicum briefly too, so worth checking it out

Sigismund physical appearence is described in a paragraph or two in the first few chapters of Horus Rising, when Dorn and Sigismund visit Horus.

I don't remember the entire description, but I remember his face being described as "patrician".

That said, I believe he wears standard IF armor until after the heresy.

Patrician, much like sanguine and choleric, is a word I'd like to ban black library authors from using, because it seems like it's the description of every marine who isn't horribly disfigured by scars.

To paraphrase The Crimson Fist it describes him with "noble features spread across a blunt face, saphire blue eyes, a scar running from below his eye to his chin, burnished yellow plate with a black and white robe".
