hey guys, apostle here, after reading the horus heresy book "Betrayal" im starting a army based of the chaos side of the shadow crusade! im not gonna use the forge world models and instead im gonna use some converted models that are a mix between chaos marines and normal marines. aswell as a large world eaters force im gonna have a word bearers force and a knight paladin squadron + a knight baron.

altogether this is what i hope to get and use to make them.

world eaters:
daemon angron-forgeworld
kharn-forgeworld
4x5 man squads-mix of regular marines with berzerkers
fellblade-modified shadow sword kit
venerable dreadnought-regular venerable dread

word bearers:
lorgar-forgeworld (may be a while)
argel tal-custom mix of veterans and any bitz
gal vorbak-regular chaos terminaters
10 man squad with standard bearer-regular squad with added bitz
land raider-chaos land raider

titan legio (what titan legion is with them in the book betrayer?)
10 knight paladins-mixing wraithguards and terminaters
knight baron-use a grey knights dreadknight

So far I have 1 terminater gal vorbak, 1 chosen squad (gonna be used as a guard for lorgar, 20 cultists, 1 dreadnought. All for word bearers, I plan on getting 1 rhino, 10 man normal squad, emperors champion and convert it to argel tal. For the world eaters I have 1 dreadnought and hope to get 1 razorback and 12 berserkers as standard marines taking chainswords. I'll split them into a 5 man squad with a melta-gun specialist in the razorback the other a 7 man squad with a specialist with a melta-gun and another a heavy bolter with khârne leading them to make the full 10 man team.

For game terms I have no clue how to play 40k but I want this army to be my first competitive one.
I plan on using the word bearers as the tip of the spear and world eaters supporting them. I think my army will reflect that and hopefully do it well.
So all in all there gonna be a super offensive army with cultists as fodder, termies as front line and berserkers as troops.

I would take photos but all I have is my iPhone, if people want I can upload the photos I have and use my phone but it's gakky

Does anyone know what bases i should use for the world eaters, I want to base them off nuceria yet keep them in-line with the word bearers sand and bit of grass bases.

The IPhone 3G is very gakky, very...... Veeerrryy..... gakky.

Even with an iPhone you should be getting muuuch better pictures than this. Surely you can tell they're extremely blurring to the point of being able to see almost nothing?

Try this tip. when taking the photo, top the screen where the model is to focus the lens on the model, it should work so much clearer that way.

Damn, don't have a 3GS which is a necessity for that focusing.

You should really figure out how to take better pictures, there is absolutely no point in posting the above as nobody will ever be able to give a valuable opinion based on those fuzzy nightmares.

Try using an all white background so the camera has nothing else to focus on besides the model. Also change whatever settings you have on the phone to "Macro" or "Close up" or the little pict of a flower. Or tap the screen to try and bring the model into focus. If none of that works, then I wouldn't bother using the phone for pics, cause like I said the pics above are about as useful as a screen door on a submarine.

*edit* On a second look I think you're probably off to a good start, but damn I'd really like to see some sharper pics!

Yeah that's my painting rag that I paint on and clean stuff with. I'll look into all of the things you said and thanks a mill for tge help.

ive looked tghrough my phone and see no settings for the camera at all, im gonna search for a good white backround now, hopefully ill find one.

I use an iPhone 3 for my WIPs too. Some advice, if you wish it. The camera is a bit sucky but remember the following:
1) decent lighting - light from above and in front if possible.
2) hold it very steady - palms of both hands, supported by 3 fingers, leaving index and thumb to...
3) tap the focal point with your index finger and use thumb to take pic.
Whilst you won't get great snaps they will be generally better.
Oh and I suppose (4) Don't zoom! It's dreadful on the 3. And good luck!

Thanks, and by focal point do you mean the are I need to focus on. Do you definitely have a 3 or 3GS?
