In my service to the emperor of man, I have been sent to the maiden world of Cythrax, a vast hub of economic and military power situated to the galactic south east of Cadia and I must say in my observations The Regiments that hail from the heavily fortified Hive planet should be regarded as one of the best equipped in the Imperium and one of the best city fighters and trench warfare specialists.
They are trained to fight in the dense streets or hab blocks of the urban sprawl, or in the muddy fields under the cover of a trench line, where they will win by way of attrition and grinding there foes moral into the dirt. They are well equipped, making use of cadian standard gear such as the Mk36 las gun and cadian pattern flak armour. Cythrax nobles are generally recruited as officers are well drilled and versed in military tactics and you would be hard pressed to find but 1 incompetent officer, they also value martial pride and while it is not necessary will often join the men in the front ranks and fight in vicious hand to hand combat.
The troops are either voluntary or if needed conscripted, though the recruitment rate can compete with that of Cadia at the worst of times, The men of Cythrax receive very high standard training and even the lowest of the planets under hivers and gangers are taught to love and venerate the emperor and also how to deliver his justice to all his foes. The Cythrax Regiments of guard are also renowned for their 3 distinct types of regiments they make use of.
The most common and numbering over 1 million in number is the Regiments of foot, whom are comprised of 1200 guardsmen split into 10 line companies and 2 veteran and heavy weapons companies. They are trained to fight shoulder to shoulder and in platoon lots where they can make there las guns truly devastating, also to fire in tight volleys and to cover the men to the left and right of them.
Then there is the Mobile Infantry Regiments, they are made up of the Elite Cythrax Mobile Infantry, heavy shock troops whom are deployed with chimera transports and accompanied by heavy weapon platforms and several fast attack elements, these regiments number at 1000 men and are split into 8 Marine companies and 2 support companies, the drivers gunners and heavy weapon operators. These troops are the elite of Cythrax and are trained to fight in tight quarters and to hit the enemy hard then make a quick escape, but if ordered to they are more than capable of standing there ground, there also trained on how to move very quickly across open ground and are great siege breaking regiments.
Finally there are the Heavy Support Regiments, these regiments are the least in number but they play a very pivotal role, as they house the Cythrax regiments Leman Russ companies, Artillery Batteries and famous vendetta gunship assault wings. These regiments do not fight together as a unit but instead split their forces into the Regiments of foot, or mobile infantry. Sending leman Russ squads or companies as there needed, or fortifying positions with Artillery batteries, and attaching vendetta squadrons to other regiments for fire support, without the Heavy Support regiments the Cythrax armies would lose their hard hitting units and would be unable to combat heavy foes.
In short that is the Cythrax Imperial guard in a nut shell, a very large but well organised fighting machine, able to make lighting quick attacks on supply lines, or able to fight gruelling wars of attrition in hive cities or on open ground, they truly are the most versatile force in the Imperium of man.

Death Korps are the best at trench warfare, after all they basically had perfected it being attacked by the full weight of an Imperial Battles group for 500 years. Other than that looks pretty damn good honestly, should do story's man, I'd read em.
