2 Hydras at 2k is overpowered.

Dark riders are meh, points would be better spent on spearmen to sacrifice or more corsairs. Corsairs should always have the frenzy banner and xhw.

I'm not a fan of cav blocks for DE as it's a ton of points in a single unit.

I've run the Cold one bus, with the right support, I.E. A combat lord on a combat mount, war machines cleared off the board, and a hydra it can be brutal. Note the can. The problem with it is that it is so expensive, as you said, and a single spell in a certain lore can decimate it. The same goes for war machines.

Im quite afraid of cannons and such, do you think shades and dark riders are enough to deal with them?

Harpies. Run 2 units of 5. They will wreck or at least distract cannon crews.

Looks fairly good, though I've got a few improvements

- Your Corsairs won't work with the current set up. They need AHWs and should preferably be run in a horde with the Sea Serpent Banner.

- Drop the Guardmaster, the Bloodshade and the Dreadknight. They're too costly for the little that they bring. Give your Shades AHWs instead, for the extra punch in CC.

- Normally, I wouldn't recommend running 2 Hydras, especially not at 2k, due to the age-old "If your opponent can handle one, he can handle two". However, if you're running the Cold One bus, they may provide some decent distraction. Food for thought though.

So should I replace Dark Riders with Harpies?

I'd say yes. Harpies are far more useful and versatile than dark riders.

So, summing up i need to:
1. Add XHW to Corsairs
2.Replace Dark Raiders with Harpies
3.Drop Guardsmaster/Dreadknight/Reaver

Did i miss anything out?

I should point out that dropping the Dark Riders will take him below his core allowance. My maths may be off as I've just woken up though

If he replaces 1 unit of Dark Riders with two units of 5 harpies, he not only still makes his core requirements, he gains a lot of flexibility in the capability of his maneuver control units.

A SacDagger sorceress really needs spearmen to sacrifice though. Anything else is just too expensive to sacrifice. I'd consider the Tome of Furion or a Dispel Scroll if you're not going to bunker her in a spearman unit.

A bonus to using a spearman unit: Spearmen can carry the Standard of Discipline, giving your army an overall Ld of 10 rather than 9.

I typically run my shades in units of 5 with AHW. Bloodshades are a waste. He only adds 1 attack, where another shade would add two attacks AND another wound, AND be a couple points cheaper.

Keep the Dreadknight for the COK bus. He's there to soak challenges away from the BSB. I'd consider giving him a magic weapon so he can kill things in a challenge; the Crimson Death is a good choice for that.

CHAOS! PANIC! DISORDER!
My job here is done.
