Hello Dakka,

here are the first impressions of our clubs annual christmas apocalypse. This year we had a big scenario with some action in an off board elder town (green glowing ufo like thing ) the players entered through portals on the main game. The game was too big and the scenario too complex for a full report. As soon as our members Start posting more pics i will update this thread with more action shots.

We plan on posting the whole scenario rules online. We made a lot of custom rules and built the main board and the elder town especially for this game. We had more than 6 months of preparation for this. The players didnt know anything about it until the day of the game.

As you can see in the start of the video we had satellite observation. The view you see there was available through a beamer throughout the whole game.

What's that Cthulu model represent, and what's it from? It reminds me of Reaper's new "Bones" plastic minis line, but I didn't think that was out yet.

This is the horrorclix ctulhu model and was used as Scabeiathrax. Really huge awesome model. We were absolutely stunned about the painting work and the model itself. When the photos start coming online i will post some closeups.

Sorry to say that first impressions is correct. Other thank a big cluster of races that cannot be allies, and a big mix of painting standard, i really didnt get much from this video.

There were unpainted models and there were races that couldnt be allies fluff wise that were allied. We wrote a big fluff part into the missions rulebook which described why the races were fighting together in said scenario.

Unpainted models arent the optimum but there were only two unpainted armies out of 10 on the table. They are owned by our busiest members that were happy to even be able to put them together in time. I dont have issues with that.

Also this video was just put together the day after our game. Most of our members that did take pictures didnt post them so far. Every single terrain piece as well as the table itself were designed and build especially for this game by us.

For those that are speaking german here are all the resources regarding our scenario
